The tour guide was very knowledgeable and kind. Answered all of our questions.
You can't fully appreciate the house from the outside. Great tour guide. Worthwhile experience. Thankful to the owners for opening up their home.
The tour guide was full of so many facts about the history of the home and Charleston. Amazing mansion!
Guide was very knoweable. The preservation of the history within the house makes it all the more relevant.
Lovely home with beautiful treasures every where you look.
Our guide was so well informed and so charming. The house is overwhelming and she made it manageable.
Amazing house, interesting tour guide, beautiful gardens.....though the house is a bit "over-filled" with collectible items giving more of an appearance of an antique shop than a residence.
If everything in the house is original (assuming only limited reproductions) it's quite unbelievable what's on display inside.
We enjoyed our docent’s information and loved getting to see the home and antiques.
Our guide was very good. The rooms of the house were so jammed with items it was was hard to appreciate the beauty of the house itself.
Expected to see a finely crafted mansion and was certainly not disappointed. What I did not expect was the variety and amount of collectables of the current owner that are on display. Rather overwhelming! Fun to experience and nice to know that someone else has to dust it all.
Excellent tour and tour guide!
It was a wonderful tour of the mansion. The girl that did the tour was very knowledgeable and took us to each room and explained everything to the group .

Tour guide (Kelsey?) was very knowledgeable and had the right tone keeping the descriptions lively and interesting. Surprised to hear she was only a Junior in college. She's a real asset.
Great tour guide!
Getting our tickets/vouchers after paying on-line was silly - although we asked the elderly woman at the register how to obtain without waiting on the same line with others buying tickets for much later tours. She made us late to the tour and did not apologize as her co-worker came in and waived us on. Our tour guide was excellent and the place was amazing. It is a shame that the staff to provide tickets and facilitate a timely start were so unaccomodating.
For the amount of information, the tour be longer.....maybe 45 min. I felt rushed!
The property and collection were incredible and the guide was very knowledgeable
Guide was very knowledgeable. Hard to believe the amount of artifacts. Definitely living up to “ More is never enough” motto
Our visit to the Calhoun Mansion was outstanding. Our tour guide picked up on our historical interest and took some extra time ensuring our questions were answered. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. At the end of the tour we were fortunate enough to get to meet the current owner of the mansion who was very humble and clearly wanted to share the beautiful mansion and its contents with the public. Thank you for a great experience!
Both my wife and I loved this place, the furnishings were the best I've ever seen. The docent was very knowledgeable.
It is an incredible collection of antiques inside of a magnificent historical home. Thank you to the owner for restoring it, keeping it kept and for opening it up for tours. The guide was extremely knowledgable and fun.
Very impressive offering and tour guide was excellent and extremely knowledgeable and engaging. It would have been nice to hear more about the house and context of it being built. Also to see more of the house would have been better.
Very interesting tour, guide was knowledgeable
Extremely impressive collection, restoration, and narration by Ed!!
Tour guide was super knowledgeable!!
The guide was spectacular! She could answer questions about any little item in the house!!
Tour guide Sue was wonderful. House and contents extremely impressive, and the owner and his 2 whippets live there.
The house and history were fascinating.. lovely tour
Great tour! Our guide (forgot her name) was so smart and really seemed like she enjoyed the history of the place even though I’m sure it was her 10000000th time telling it. Beautiful place. One of the best parts of Charleston! Ricky Martin.
Our tour guide was FANTASTIC. Loved her. One of the best we've had anywhere -- I was very impressed with her breadth of knowledge and the tour was well paced and interesting!
The house is absolutely beautiful. The collections are beautiful. But it was hard to see it all in such a short time. There was so much to see. I did enjoy it very much and appreciate the owner opening up his Home for us to see this wonderful piece of history. Thank You!
Unlike any other experience in Charleston. Highly recommend!
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She let us take our time looking around and explained the architecture and artifacts thoroughly. I can’t praise her highly enough for making this a very enjoyable experience.
Tour guide extremely knowledgeable
