I learned so much about our neighboring town of Occoquan. Perfect tour for the Halloween/Fall season.

Our guide thoroughly knew her history and ghost stories. She clearly enjoys giving the tours and it's contagious! I love history and the ghost stories myself so I had a very good time. I wish it lasted longer!

I enjoyed the walk, and I'd like to go back to some of the restaurants. Allen was a good tour guide, but I was a little disappointed in his research. A couple of things bothered me. He spoke of the escape by John Wilkes Booth and that Booth left Washington and traveled to Virginia where he was caught by federal troops at Front Royal. Booth wasn't near Front Royal. Allen should look at the map and see just how far away Front Royal is. The other thing that bothered me was him referring to the military at the U.S. Marine buildings as "soldiers." Soldiers are in the Army. People in the Marine Corps are Marines, and would be very insulted if they were referred to as soldiers.
