You’ll begin your exploration at the Centla Biosphere marshes, a nature reserve spanning over 300, 000 hectares. We’ll journey up the Usumacinta River, cruising on the boats as you marvel at the multitude of birds that gather at the Pajarales to feed and breed from December through April. After this excursion, we’ll stop by the Uyotot-Ja Interpretation Center (Water House) which aims to educate guests on environmental conservation, endangered plants and wildlife. It’s a fantastic spot for activities that combine knowledge acquisition and observation of local flora and fauna. Lastly, you’ll find yourself at a stilt house where you can sample regional fares (not included) and bask in the stunning views provided by the junction of Usumacinta, Grijalva, and San Pedro rivers, also known as ‘Three Arms’. We’ll then head back to the hotel or airport.
