Happy new Hindu year in Kashi - Three days is the optimum time needed for first time to be and see Varanasi (ex Benares, ex Kashi). The organisers have combined for us the tour which consisted of main sightseeing and activities (Sarnath, Old city, Vishvanath, Ghats, cremation place, boat tours, ceremonies and more). The guides were helpful both in Sarnath (Ravi) and Varanasi (Lalit). If you have time prepare yourself (read before you arrive here) that will deeply improve the effect of local culture and experience. Walk by yourself in free time in the city and you can explore more. Hope we can return here some days to spend more time.

Magical and Mesmerising Varanasi! - Just amazing and mesmerising - I do not have words to express what this place is!
Our Guide Aman was literally god sent - so smiling, patient, professional and just spot on with all arrangements and taking us through the interiors of Banaras.
I would highly recommend Aman and the auto guy Abhishek - they were a great team!

Varanasi Boat Ride - During our trip through northern India we met Deepak in Varanasi as our early morning Ganges River boat guide. What a fantastic knowledgeable tour guide! You could not ask for more. In the afternoon he even gave us a guided tour through the backstreets of the city, showed us places we would have never found by ourselves, and even introduced us to the best Lassi to be found in India. Next morning he came to our hotel to make sure that we got the right car taking us to the next destination.
During our time together we had lively discussions about anything India related. It was like finding a friend in this huge country of India. Thank you very much Deepak for the short time we were fortunate to spend together.

Relaxing drift down the Ganges - Really enjoyed my boat trip today. We used the engine upstream and just went with the current downstream. The peace was bliss. My guide was very informative and helpful, even getting me some superglue for the sole of my shoe!
