Corzano Farm in Tuscany - Our Tuscany truffle hunt and cooking class is a wonderful half-day tour focused on Tuscan truffle.
You will start with an exciting truffle hunt, guided by a truffle expert and by the nose of his faithful dog. Once you have finished you’ll learn how to use truffle in the kitchen preparing a delicious 3-course lunch at an organic farm just a few km from Florence.
Tuscany truffle hunt and cooking class take place in the Mugello Valley near Florence.
This particular area of Tuscany is fortunate enough to produce a variety of truffles throughout the year. Thus there’s always a good chance of finding truffles in our selected areas.
The protagonist of the truffle hunting is certainly the dog that patiently scours the woods sniffing for truffles. Suddenly the dog begins to scratch the ground thus attracting the attention of his master. The truffle hunter instead with his “small hoe” delicately enlarges the little hole just indented by the dog. He then gently extracts the truffle from the ground and rewards the dog.

One of the highlights of our trip! - This was a highlight of our trip to Italy! Carmen was a great tour guide and the cooking class was Amazing! We learned to make the best truffle pasta.

Unearth this gem of an experience and polish up your holiday! - Every element was sheer delight! From the welcome coffee, to walking out with Iago our truffle-hunting dog unearthing real gems from the soil. Carmen explained everything in detail as we walked - nothing was left to chance! Then into the cookery class with Christian who stripped it back to the basics - how to make fresh pasta, gnocchi and how to appreciate local ingredients used in local recipes. The actual cooking was quick & efficient and many courses! Don’t book dinner out that night as you’ll have eaten enough for one day for sure! Fabulous experience, worth every penny and inspiring us to recreate at home! Thanks to you all!

Truffle Hunt and Cooking Class - We had an incredible day! Carmen, Paolo and chef Cristian are very friendly and made this one of the best experiences of the trip! We learned about truffle hunting, cooked the meal in a cooking class and then ate it, it was delicious! I highly recommend it!

Best experience that you can do in Tuscany! - It was an awesome experience. I enjoyed every second. Paolo showed me the most beautiful places in the region and made sure I experienced the real Tuscany. Also, the food was delicious and I learned a lot about how you cook in Italy. Thanks a lot to Paolo and the whole team behind this great memory!

Highly recommend! - Paolo picked us up in Firenze and made the trip feel so quick as he told us about his family, the area and the countryside as we drove. Carmen and Johnny were amazing as we hunted for truffle and the kids were so entertained as the hunting dog excitedly dug for the truffle that he located. We then prepared a delicious meal with Lorenzo who was incredible with the kids and the cooking as we enjoyed the freshest truffle-based meals I have ever tasted. There was so much steak filet that we could only eat one of the four but it was delicious! They have rain gear and boots in case of some rain which did not dampen our experience at all. Easily the highlight of our trip! Would absolutely recommend!

Truffle hunt and a picturesque Tuscan farmhouse experience - If you’re going to be in Tuscany for any length of time, book a day for the Truffle Hunt Experience with Mugello & Tuscany, with your host Paolo. It’s an extraordinary experience through the woods with a trained truffle dog and his owner. Don’t worry about inclement weather, raincoats and boots are available. A few hours hunting and you return to a picturesque farmhouse for your pasta making and dining experience. Our party of five learned the basics of making excellent pasta. And being served your own pasta with the truffles that were harvested. Wash that down with a glass of Tuscan wine and you and your friends have had a memorable day. And don’t forget to purchase their on site olive oil.

Amazing experience in Tuscany! - Wonderful experience! Family run business, everyone is so helpful from booking to how to arrive. Simple details such as providing us with boots. Very hospitable visit on the farm.
Just walking through the woods was good enough for me, but bonus we found some truffles! Watching the dog work and dig out truffles was truly fascinating.
The pasta making class was so fun and informative! In all the cooking classes I’ve taken on holiday, I will actually make the recipes from this one (which are emailed to you). The chefs surprise course for us was delicious! From booking to finish, this was a 5 star experience, worth every penny!

Worth it - My 13yo and I went on a truffle hunt and pasta class. It was my favorite day in Tuscany. Axhilles (the dog) was so excited, the pasta was amazing, and they made it super easy. I had another tour organizer cancel on me at the last minute and dound Mugello & Tuscany and coordinated everything the night before the tour. The directions were clear, they arranged a taxi from/to the train station and made it all easy. Gabriel was a wonderful chef, who was patient and encouraging for the kids. All around great experience, and even though it's expensive (especially once you include transport if you don't have a car) it was absolutely worth it.

Such a fun and memorable experience! - This was honestly one of the most memorable experiences during my partner and I’s time in Tuscany.
Whilst this may seem to be on the pricier side, it was such a fun, educational and definitely worthwhile experience!
Carmen was our guide for the day, alongside Gianni, the truffle hunter and our star dog, Achille. Carmen was so friendly and informative, educating us about all things truffle. Carmen and her company show a lot of respect for the natural terrain in the way that they focus on sustainable truffle hunting.
Our cooking class was lead by chef Cristian who was very knowledgable and went into great depth about the ingredients we worked with and the different cooking techniques.
All in all, this was an incredible experience that I would recommend to anyone, whether you’re a dog lover or foodie, everyone is bound to have a wonderful time!
