Additional Information

An exhilarating private excursion on elegant Italian Vespas or contemporary scooters accompanied by a local squad. We’ll journey across pastoral villages for an authentic glimpse into Vietnamese life. Pauses will be taken to capture images of indigenous agriculturists, terraced rice fields, grazing bovine, and legume and capsicum plantations…
Once arriving at My Son sanctuary, a leisurely 90-minute stroll will commence to explore the venerable Hindu shrines, designated as a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1999.
Approximately 70 Hindu sanctuaries were erected between the 4th and 13th centuries by the erstwhile Champa kingdom, part of the larger Khmer Empire. The shrines lay forgotten until their rediscovery by a French explorer during a hunting expedition in the 19th century.
Enshrined amidst a serene valley, cradled by soaring peaks and traversed by a hallowed rivulet, the sacred compound offers a walk through history where one can witness numerous pockmarks of past conflicts. Despite the scars of the Vietnam War, the age-old structures continue to captivate tourists, historians, and architectural aficionados alike.

A must do in hoi an - The guys were amazing! felt so safe on the back of the Vespa and they provided water throughout the trip. We went a different way to the main tour trips so didn’t see any other tourists until we made it to my son. Was really nice to see the more rural side of hoi an and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone coming to the area! After all the site seeing we were taken for lunch at a local place on route back to our hotel. The food was great! Overall a 10/10 experience

My Son in the Rain - The weather was quite rainy in the morning and we were afraid of how the experience will be affected. However, Thanh and Trang were both very positive tour guides and took care of us very well despite the rain. We must say a big thank you to them for braving the weather in their motorcycles and we had a really enjoyable time at My Son. Thanh and Trang are both very well-informed guides and gave us a lot of rich historical details of My Son. Thank you once again!

Great experience at the my son sanctuary by motorbike - We did the My Son sanctuary by motorbike and the hidden waterfall. Ben was a great guide, very knowledgeable of the Vietnamese history and culture. We had an amazing experience exploring the my son temples, as well as the motorbike ride through the countryside. Avoiding the busy roads, we had the chance to see amazing landscapes and pass through lovely friendly villages, stopping on the way to take plenty of pictures. Overall we had a great time and definitely recommend Ben and the local buddy tours!

Local county side Hoi An - We had the most enjoyable trip ever with our guides Harry Tea and Tu through the rural neighborhoods and community of Hoi An. Our guides were fun, energetic and knowledgeable about Hoi An. We visited a rice paper making factory, a coffee making factory from beans to cup, a matt making factory done the traditional way and crab fishing in the coconut grove along with some incredible local food. Harry was truly an energetic exceptional guide. Along with Tea and Tu. I would highly recommend this tour. Can't wait to go back there again!

Sunrise Trip to My Son Sanctuary - Thanh picked me up as scheduled at 05:30 for the sunrise trip to My Son Sanctuary. Unfortunately it was raining so we didn’t see the sunrise but the trip was amazing and Thanh’s knowledge of the history to My Son was excellent. The temples were deserted which made a great experience for me but meant that there was no custom for people who rely on the tourist dollars. Overall this is an excellent trip abs I would highly recommend Local Buddy Tours and especially Thanh.

Great tour of My Son - We had an excellent tour to My Son (by car rather than by motorbike), guided by the very knowledgable Tu. We chose to take the morning tour, and I’m really pleased we did as it was super quiet and we got some great pictures before the large tour groups arrived. Tu told us lots of interesting facts about the temples. His English was excellent and he had a great sense of humour. After spending about an hour at the sanctuary we left and stopped for My Quang, a local noodle dish, and a nearby restaurant. It was delicious. We then went back to Hoi An through various villages, including stopping at a 700 year old banyan tree. I would not hesitate to book a tour with these guys again! Booking was easy, all done through What’s App with Ben. We only booked 2 days before the tour.
