Our guide was very knowledgeable and accomodating. We learned some new things about the big cats and enjoyed the walk thru the shady grounds. The gift shop was well appointed with many cool shirts and souvenirs at quite reasonable prices. It was an excellent part of our brief vacation in the Tampa area.

It is always a joy to see the cats in a better environment than they had before Big Cat Rescue gave them a home. The big tigers are my favorite.
Cats and enclosures were very clean. Very important, and this was stressed on the tour that big cats should never be kept or sold as pets!
So refreshing and reassuring to find people and organizations that still care
It's a different experience from the usual options of shops and restaurants, and is for a very worthwhile cause.
Everyone at BCR shares a passion for saving cats large and small. It is evident from the greeting at the gate to the tour guide to the gift shop. I follow BCR on Facebook and am very pleased to have been able to visit. I will visit again. On a keeper tour for sure. The ultimate goal is for BCR to go out of business. The cats should never be kept as pets or used as a prop in a pay for play scam so please don’t get your picture taken with a cub. I will continue to support BCR by watching their YouTube channel and choosing the as my charity on amazon Smile. Please do the same. And when you visit, and you should, you will realize why this is so important.
I’m a big cat lover. I can see the love and compassion in the staff, and how well the animals are cared for. I am also a member of the Humane Society of the United States. I have never been to Florida, and didn’t want to leave. I would love to work with the big cats! I spent a lot of money on souvenirs, and sponsored a Serval. I watch every day the live cams, to see “my babies” given the best care they could ever receive. I’m a Nursing student, but since I’ve been 7 years old, I wanted to be a Vet. I’m considering becoming a Vet tech also. I took tons of pictures to make an album. Thank you, for everything you do! I definitely will be back, and continue to show my support, and proudly show off my my back window sticker showing my love for BCR. Love to the animals, and staff. God Bless ❤️
The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was obvious that all team members were very compassionate and dedicated to your purpose
The tour could have been massively improved if we could actually hear our guide. she was extremely...extremely soft spoken and unless you were standing in front of her could not hear her. I ended up asking the trainer behind us questions. Would have also liked to have lingered a little longer when the cats were more active.
I loved seeing the big cats in their somewhat natural environments. They all have come from horrible places and now they have a great place to call home. I support everything the rescue is trying to provide for these amazing, beautiful cats. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all that you do!!!
We learned so much about the sufferings which many of these animals endured. The work you do is so great. Our tour guide, Emma, along with the audio, were very informative. We have been telling people about BCR. If we are visiting in the area again, we will probaly return. Continue doing your great work. Hopefully the government will outlaw the practice of individuals owning big cats.
Not only was it beautiful to see the cats it was also very educational. Our tour guide was great.
Very impressed. Much more than I expected. All the cats are very lucky to be there.
I really enjoyed this tour! The guide was very familiar with all the cats & their backgrounds/histories. Also their different personalities. The audio recordings that we listened to about the different cats were very informative and eye opening. It was also nice that my friend, who uses a walker, was able to ride along in the golf cart. The cats are just plain beautiful! You are doing a good thing!
We had great time. We will highly recommend it. It gave us a new perspective on the survival and preservation of big cats.
A very rewarding visit. Fascinating and Educational. All staff and volunteers were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional.
Very nice tour and people very friendly and the animals always a joy to see and hear their stories.
Excellent tour, guides had alot of knowledge of the felines.
I loved seeing the way the big cats are taken care of and loved by the caretakers. The tour guide knew everything about the cats and kept us informed about their backgrounds. history, care etc. and answered all our questions.
This is not my first visit and it never gets old. What you do with these animals is amazing and I love knowing that I've done something to help in their rehabilitation. Keep up the great work you do.
Excellent tour guide. Supportive volunteer/intern. Very educational. All-around great experience!
Interesting histories of the individual cats. A very pleasant way to spend an afternoon. An education!
The head phone were good. little more personal history on the animals would have been nice. Guides were knowledgeable. Prices in the gift shop were good.
One of the most amazing things I’ve done!
Our guide was excellent. He had great knowledge of the different cats. Since I am a returning patron, I was pleased that we had a live person and not a tape. The headset, though, made it so easy to understand and hear. With the tape, it became very repetitious. The day was beautiful and not too hot so most of the cats were frisky. We walked through the sanctuary and into parts I didn't remember ever going so it was very interesting. There has been some renovation in the building since my last visit so I was pleased with the "new look". My reservations were made on line and it was nice not to wait in line. Parking was easy. This is my favorite place to bring my guests.
Not only is Denny very knowledgeable about the cats, but it was refreshing to have a tour guide that was so devoted. We truly enjoyed seeing these animals well taken care of, despite their unfortunate position of having to stay in captivity. We are looking forward to watching the cats on the cams and during furure visits!
Visited Big Cat Rescue on 1/2/2018 for a 10 Am tour. Out group consisted of approx. 20 people. It was amazing to be so up close to these beautiful felines and we were able to get some beautiful snap shots. Our guide was able to give us back ground information on the cats and answer any questions the group had. The pens looked clean and the cats were healthy. They even told us people get married at this location. We purchased some wonderful items from the gift shop and plan to make a return visit. Maybe next time we will take the feeding tour.
First of all, the cats. Just being in their presence is an emotionally moving experience. Then, great organization and helpful staff/volunteers. Thank you for all you do for these amazing and deserving creatures to help them have the best life possible.

The Big Cars are all awesome...gorgeous...the 90 min tour was so rushed...as though...the guide did not really care if you actually saw the Big Cat in each enclosure...and they would try to rush by...saying...cat not out now...but every time we would see the Big Cat and point...stopping the guide from rushing by...and then the not so friendly end of line guides would rush everyone...and or just say something rude or aimed at hurrying everyone on...but WE paid to see the Big Cats...and actually be able to watch them for a few more minutes each...seems that was consensus among our tour group....
