Stroll amidst Gokayama Ainokura Village’s charming thatched dwellings, then plunge into the emblematic Gassho-style residences of Shirakawago. Climb to the top of the Shiroyama Castle Tower Observatory for an awe-inspiring panorama. Accompany us for a day echoing with tales from Japan’s bygone era.
- Please note that Gassho-zukuri Minkaen is closed every Thursday, so we won’t be able to visit on that day. However, passengers who join us on the days will receive a unique souvenir as a token of our appreciation.
- Please wear warm clothes and non-slip shoes.

Beware tour operator Trevopedia - Beware tour operator Trevopedia.
The night before the tour the operator messaged me via WhatsApp telling me that due to unforeseen circumstances the tour could not proceed and could we do the tour a day later. I declined as we would be on a train to another city.
When I asked for a refund they changed their tune and said they were trying to book us seats with another vendor.
They booked us seats with the local bus company (Nohi bus) for the next day.
When we arrived and got on the bus it was plain to see that we had been scammed. The local tour bus sightseeing bus is in Japanese. There was no tour guide provided for us from Trevopedia. They had simply booked us cheaper tickets on local bus which I could have done for HALF the price.
