Nice trip - Unfortunately no sunset due to bad weather but still amazing views over split, was nice all lit up. Fortress was really cool. I enjoyed it.

Nice, but didn’t have enough time - Visited with little kid. Everything was good, except little time. Had no time to see whole fortress and didn’t visit Olive museum.

Sunset is the Best - Great to view at sunset, not too hot and the views are gorgeous at that time. Bus had AC and the price seemed really worth it!

Sunset at Klis! - Would highly recommend you visit Klis for a Sunset visit. The views are spectacular and you will not be affected by the daytime sun! Wear good shoes and bring water!

Highly recommend - We booked this trip for a nice evening at Klis castle. It was the perfect ending of a hot day. Our tour guide was great and we enjoyed all the information about history of Split and the castle, and filming of Game of Thrones. It was just the right amount of free time. Highly recommend!

Sunset tour of Klis Fortress - Definitely recommend the sunset tour to Klis Fortress when you’re in Split. It was an easy walk up and the views were stunning from the top, you can see the whole city!

Touring the dramatic fortress above Split - Worthwhile trip up to this dramatic fortress. The guide provided good historical perspective. Depending on time of year, the sun will set behind a ridge rather than into the sea, as we noted, but it was still a nice activity.

Game of Thrones Filming Location for Meereen - Had a few days in Split during Dalmation Island Cruise. Decided to take a bus tour up to Fort Klis. The fortress is called Tvrđava Klis in Croatian. Klis Fortress is located above the town of Klis, only 12 km away from Split. So an ideal combination with a visit to Split. Klis fortress became rather famous after being used as a filming location for Meereen city in Game of Thrones! With this bus tour you start out around 7:00 pm from the main bus stop in front of the palace. You take an open top sightseeing bus ride up to the Klis Fortress. A local guide will take you up to fortress, explain the layout and tell stories of this remarkable site. At that point you are free to explore and wonder the site. Thanks to Game Of Thrones, the fortress now has the money and standing to make sure the site is protected and taken after. After an hour or so, you can view the sunset above the city of Split. From the fortress's magnificent viewpoint, you will be see a breathtaking panorama of Split, nearby islands, and majestic mountains. Even just the breathtaking view makes this visit worthwhile!

Beautiful sunset at the Klis Fortress - Beautiful area. Lots of steps to climb. The sunset was beautiful. Great panorama views. There was an audio plug in on the way that was not very interesting. The tour guide said nothing on the way there or back. He was very nice but spoke way too fast. My friend who has a hearing problem hardly understood him.
