The best food tour; an exceptional way to understand the rich history and traditions of Split; Come hungry - This is an exceptional tasting tour with the highest quality foods served at unique locations. A sampling of charcuterie served in an exclusive hotel in the palace. Tasting a squid risotto in a restaurant whose door is an arch of Roman stones over a thousand years old. A long-simmered veal stew enjoyed at a favorite local tavern that has been serving for decades. Our guide, Ivana, was super-knowledgeable about both food history and traditions and Split history, so we had both a history tour and a culinary tour. Because of the small group size we had some great conversation with Ivana and learned about what it is like to grow up and live in Split with all its changes over the last 40 years. It made the city so much more personal and authentic for us. The servings are close to full size so you will not go away hungry, guaranteed. I really appreciate the attention the tour company paid to the quality and authenticity of both the food and the locations where we experienced it. We have been on many food tours and would rate this one the very best for both quality of the food and our very engaging guide, Ivana.

Great food tour in Split. - Thoroughly enjoyed this tour led by the lovely Ivana, she was a font of information on the history of Split as we walked from place to place. The food was local & delicious. It was only a small group of 6 people which was really nice & easy. Highly recommend.

Great way to explore Split! - Tea was a phenomenal guide for our Food Tour! This should really be called a food and history tour, since Tea gave such great insights about Split as we were walking from restaurant to restaurant. It was wonderful to learn so much about the local cuisine, and it was all delicious! Pictured is the Charcuterie Board, Black Risotto with Cuttlefish, and Pasticada (slow cooked pot roast). There were also opportunities to buy glasses of wine at the restaurants, which was only about €3-5. This was a fantastic tour to do on our first day in Split so we knew what restaurants to eat at, and where we could find more local fare! We plan to visit Split in the future with family and friends, and will be taking them on this Food Tour. Thanks, Tea for giving us a great experience!

Fantastic, fun, informative and delicious - What a great tour and Marina really made it an experience. This was a “two for one”, you definitely don’t need another history tour. Marina was very welcoming and a great host. We learnt the history of this spectacular city and got to taste a wide variety of delicious Croatian cuisine all the while wandering through the narrow streets of Split and we didn’t get lost! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Succeeded - There was good food in interesting restaurants and localities. The tour was led professionally and knowledgeably in a very personable manner. However, the price could have included a glass of wine per meal
