Sea caves adventure - This tour guide is amazing! So authentic. We had our trip cut short due to swells but he made us feel safe and it was still a really enjoyable experience! Highly recommend and we will be back to do the full tour next time!

The BEST!!! 10/10 recommend. - We have travelled as a family a fair bit, both in New Zealand and overseas. We've done quite a lot of trips, boat rides, experiences, etc. This was the best thing we've ever had the chance to experience. What an incredible trip. Ash (who piloted the boat) was amazing - full of great info about the history of the land, and incredibly generous with his time. The views were stunning. Going inside the sea caves was unreal. We all loved it. And snorkelling at the end was a great way to finish the trip! Both of our kids (9 and 13) had a wonderful time. We'll all treasure the memories, and will have to plan another trip back to the area to visit some of the other places Ash told us about! Ngā mihi nui ki a koe, Ash. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and love of the whenua and moana with us.

Great boat trip to visit a lot of cool caves and areas along the coast - The boat trip was fantastic! The boat was small enough to get into a lot of caves, which allowed us to see the geology and all the cool features up close. Our guide was great and very knowledgeable about the history of the area. There was even an option to snorkel, with equipment provided, which was cool. We did visit Cathedral Cove, which was pretty, but we saw lots of other sights that were much cooler. Definitely recommend!

Great experience - We were a group of 7 varying in ages from early 20’s to mid 70’s. We all enjoyed this experience, I would go as far as saying it was the best boat trip I have been on. Ash was brilliant , so friendly and knowledgeable about so many things, marine life, history of the area, volcanic activity were all things he covered, along with lots of other bits of information about the area. We all felt that the experience was a very personal one that Ash adapts to cater for each individual group, and was so patient helping us oldies on and off the boat. We would highly recommend this trip to everyone.

Awesome trip - Great trip out to the sea caves and Cathedral Cove, very informative and loved getting into the caves for a closer look, saw lots of fish too and even got the opportunity to swim with them!

Just do it! - Highly recommend. A view of the landscape unlike any other tour available. Ash was a wonderful, accommodating and knowledgeable guide. Want to snorkel? Sure. Want to jump of a cliff? Sure. Just want to sit on the boat and watch the world go by? Sure. Something for everyone.

Outstanding rib trip!! - This was a fabulous rib trip! We were so fortunate, everything was great! Ash is a wonderful guide and skipper with so much local knowledge. He is a great communicator, and his character and obvious love for what he does came across throughout the trip. The rib itself is a perfect size for accessing the caves also making trip feel more personal than would be the case on larger boat. The coast that you get to see on this trip is beautiful and very memorable. This trip was the perfect ending for our short stay in Whitinga. Highly recommended.

Fantastic boat trip into the sea caves - Ash was a brilliant skipper and really informative about the history of the area. Great fun and the rib was able to get into some amazing caves. Really enjoyed the snorkelling with the colourful snapper fish at the end. Fantastic time just do it

Extremely angry - Just like most tourists we had an itinerary to travel around the North Island. We knew we would be in Whitianga on the morning of 22/03/2024 so to ensure we did not miss out on this amazing experience we booked and fully paid for the 8am tour on 19/11/2023. And then at 7:24pm on 21/03/2024, an employee of Sea Cave Adventures rang to advise we were the only couple to book and will have to cancel our tour and refund payment. What the hell? We were left stranded. This service is totally unacceptable and showed absolutely no empathy towards the customer. It would appear this company is only driven by making money.
