Additional Information

Embark on a journey through Travnik’s rich past, once the heart of the Ottoman province of Bosnia and home to the Bosnian viziers from 1699. The city rose in prominence as a key locus of authority in the entire Western frontier of the empire, with consulates initiated by the French and Austro-Hungarian administrations. Following Travnik, we will explore one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most picturesque cities, Jajce. With its stunning waterfall and intricate history, Jajce distinguishes itself from the rest. ‘From the heart of this town, murmurs the most stunning waterfall of the entire empire’, (a postcard statement written by Czech tourists from Jajce to Prague, in the late 19th century, during Bosnia’s Austro-Hungarian reign). Lastly, you’ll encounter enchanting watermills that seem plucked straight from a storybook.

Wonderful full day tour! - My husband and I had an amazing time on our full day tour! Our tour guide, Ken, was incredible. He is a great conversationalist and an excellent photographer. The views were amazing and the history was interesting. We started in Jajce, followed by the Pliva water mills, then to Travnik. We made a lunch stop in Travnik for some delicious čevapi before heading to the Sulejmanija (colorful) Mosque; followed by the Travnik Castle. It was a wonderful experience with a fantastic tour guide!

Amazing Tour, it's a must! - I have traveled to BiH and have gone on several tours. The country is beautiful. What makes a tour great is the guide. Kenan was a fantastic guide and told the history in a way that made it come alive. He also knows all the little hidden gems of spots that you would normally never see. There were two couples and two sole travelers in the group. Kenan was very intuitive about everyone's individual needs. He goes out of his way to ensure you are comfortable and answer any questions. I highly recommend Kenan
