1206 Shoreline Dr - You will learn to Surf from a long time Veteran Surfer in a way that makes you feel like you are just going surfing with “Uncle Micah.” When you arrive at “The Barbarians Cave or at the cliffs of Shoreline park you are fitted with wetsuits, are assisted in Board selection and then loaded up in our surf buggy to to begin our WAVE HUNT along our breathtaking central coast. We look and local cameras as well as hop out of the surf buggy here and there to see how the surf looks. Once we agree on “the spot’” The lesson begins. Everything from proper Paddling Techniques and the mighty “Pop Up” ; to Surf Etiquette and Wave Reading & Positioning. Even during group lessons EVERYONE will have one on one time with your guide to really make this experience memorable and personal.
YOGA is totally Addable to this experience on certain days. I hope you join us here at The Barbarians Cave in beautiful downtown Santa Barbara. Aloha!

This experience is designed to offer a genuine day or morning in the shoes of a surfer, beyond just a surf lesson. Participants are welcomed as part of the family, like enjoying a surfing session with your Uncle Micah. They not only receive an exhaustive and detailed lesson but also get enveloped in a bona fide experience that instills in some a newfound passion and lifestyle. There is parking on the street along Cota street and surrounding streets. Be very careful NOT to park on any blocks that are marked with a 90 minute sign. Coming from the Cota Street entrance, come up the stairs to the second floor and turn right. We are in the corner in suite 203.

Amazing full day surf lessons for our family! - Micah was amazing to work with! His rates were extremely reasonable. He was flexible and really made our surf lessons individualized. He got every member of our family of six first-time surfers (aged 7-39) up on the board. He brought all the necessary equipment and made it hassle free and enjoyable. Our kids voted surfing day to be their favorite day of their vacation (and that’s saying something because we also went to Disneyland and Universal Studios!) We’ll definitely connect with him again next time we visit the area and we recommend him to all of our friends heading to Southern California. Thanks, Micah, for creating an incredible memory for our family!

Surf’s up in Santa Barbara - We had so much fun on our surf outing!! Micah was so fun and energetic and he got all of us up on our boards!! I would recommend him if you really want an authentic Santa Barbara surf experience

Micah is a fantastic surf coach! - Loved surfing with Micah. He is super friendly and fun. He gave me an awesome experience surfing. He is super kind and motivating. Highly recommend taking some lessons with him.

Awesome sunset surfing lesson - Micah was awesome, very nice and patient with getting us set up. He was also technical enough to begin teaching us the fundamentals we'll need to actually surf on our own, which I appreciated. We had plenty of time in the water, and caught as many waves as we had the energy for.

What a great experience - We booked this activity for 4 people. None of us has ever tried surfing before. The lesson has been perfect for beginners.
We first meet him at his appartement. This is where we got our wetsuits and a short introduction. Right After that we headed to the beach, were we all caught some waves. At the end of the day, everbody rode at least one or two waves. Really exciting.
He knows how to teach you riding waves.
