Kathy was an amazing Ambassador of the neighborhood. It was a great tour with lots of positive group discussion with further tour-mates from around the globe. Would recommend this tour to friends and strangers.
Kathy was an excellent guide through the Castro and its unique history. She also brings with her a personal knowledge of the community that really made this tour a great experience. We would recommend any visitor or to San Fran take this tour as one of their first outings. It will really give you a good lay of the Castro District that will prove to be invaluable over the course of your trip.
Our tour guide, Kathy, was a wealth of knowledge! She gave us a fantastic tour with great insight to the rich LGBTQ history of the area. I can't wait to come back and learn more.
I live a few blocks away and learned great things about my neighborhood's history and culture that are fascinating. Great date idea!
Hi Kathy we are home now. We have left our review on tripadvisor. We both really enjoyed the tour and thank you very much. You have a fantastic knowledge of not just the Castro but San Francisco in general. You made the tour informative but also great fun. It was nice that a group of strangers from diverse backgrounds and regions were encouraged by yourself to interact.
Kathy was an extremely knowledgeable and fun guide! We had a fantastic time learning a lot of history and about this wonderful inclusive community xxx. Thank you so much Kathy -- Genie and I loved it!!! Will recommend 100%
The Cruisin' The Castro Walking Tour was a highlight of our trip to San Francisco! Our tour guide Kathy was phenomenal - she is passionate about the history and the meaning of the Castro to all of our family, and it was such a pleasure to learn so much from a true member of the Castro community! Kathy knew everyone, and through her we met so many cool people like Eddie, who gifted me and my loved ones pink quartz stones from the Pink Triangle Memorial. We were so honored, and it will always mean so much to us. The tour made such an impact that I would recommend this historic, interesting and intriguing tour to any visitor to San Francisco. We loved it! Thanks so much Kathy!
Kathy was super!!!
Our tour guide Kathy was very knowledgeable and I could feel her deep passion and pride for the work that she does and the community she co-creates in the neighbourhood. I loved her humour, passion and authenticity!
Kathy was excellent. There were straight and gay people on the tour, and she made everyone feel welcome. Lots of great information. Wish the tour was longer.
This was a really well-planned tour - informative and way better than anything self-guided . Our guide, Kathy, was so knowledgeable, witty and considerate. Our group agrees: Cruisin the Castro is a must for SF visitors!
Excellent warm and personalized experience. The insiders perspective was amazing from someone who has lived there for a long time. Also made us feel safe walking in streets that has its fair share of intimidating characters especially for a first time visitor.
