Although I enjoyed our guide very much, I did not enjoy having to constantly rein in the horse to prevent it from eating constantly during my ride. I have been on many other trail rides before and have never had to do that so much that it took away from being able to enjoy the ride and scenery. However our guide was very friendly. I have already requested the photos and my friends have asked if I have received them yet, which I have not. Thank you.
Lisa was great, and the horses were lovely and obviously well cared for. The facility was clean and easy to find, and everyone was very friendly. My only complaint was that the whole thing felt kind of rushed, and we definitely weren't out on the trail for an entire hour. I understand some of that hour might include the time in the paddock, but it was a total of one hour from the time we parked our car to the time Lisa handed us our wine coupon. It was such a lovely day, of course we could've ridden for hours, but I was expecting a full hour on horseback. The winery we visited was lovely -- a really good choice, great wines, and easy location. Lisa was funny, very relaxed and easy to talk to, and I know everyone in our party appreciated the smaller riding group size, for the sake of more attention from the guide but also making it easier to move around on the trail. Thank you for a great time, and we hope to be back.
The staff and the horses were wonderful and us ladies had a great outing. Our guide was patient with us as we learned to ride the horses. However, please advertise that the 20 minutes it took to load us on the horses is a part of the one hour. I think we were only on the trail for a total of 30 minutes.
This was my girlfriend's 1st lengthy horseback ride and Lisa, our trail guide, made this 1st experience one to remember!!!! She was friendly, conversational, attentive to our concerns and knew a lot about the area and the horses!! I credit the great horses we got to ride, the environment and (especially) Lisa for giving us an excellent ride and experience! The route she took us on was not all that long (only criticism), but the area (in April-Spring) was full of spring wildflowers and the grasses were emerald green; something rare to see in So. CA. The wine tasting was great too! No questions asked, we just gave them our voucher and they offered us 6 tastings! We even bought a bottle! I highly recommend this excursion for any person, couple or group wanting to just get out and do something different! Totally worth it!!
The trail guide was friendly and very knowledgeable! The trail could be a little cleaner. There were a few items dumped there such as a sofa and refrigerator that should be cleaned up. Also, it would be nice if you are going to advertise the ability to phone/text and leave a message that the calls be returned. Other than that it was a nice day!
Loved our guide, very friendly and fun to talk to. It would have been nice if the horses would have been brought into the area where we got on them instead of waiting for each one to be brought in before our time began. Also this was done when we were finished. With this being done our ride ended up being on a half hour ride. We were disappointed in this.
Great guide, very nice horses and well taken care of.
My experience overall was satisfactory. I enjoyed hearing about the horses and their origin stories. I would have liked to hear more about the trail and the surrounding environment versus talking to the trail guide about all of our personal lives. In addition, there were some comments that were not politically correct from the guide, such as calling a horse the "retard of the group" and having "ADHD." It would have been a more pleasant experience to have had a more culturally competent environment.
Ride was shorter then expected
The tour ride was stated to be one hour, but we were only on horseback a little less than 30 minutes. Two of our five horses were not groomed, were muddy and had matted coats. Not a good presentation for the ranch. However, the guide was very pleasant and we still enjoyed our brief excursion. The winery was nice and peaceful.
Joey, our trail guide was great; easy going, personable, and fun to be with. We thoroughly enjoyed our ride, but wish we could could find something a little more challenging than a trail ride for beginners. The horses we were paired with were easy to ride - just wish we could have ridden under circumstances that were somewhat more challenging and a little less inhibited by the other folks in our group, who were inexperienced and a little frightened by the prospect of riding horses. Overall, a very positive experience, thanks to Joey!
Our guide was very helpful and patient with me as I wasn't the best rider on the hirse
Our guide, Trisha, was very nice and knowledgeable. Horses were well trained and friendly. The ride itself was a little short, tho pretty scenery.
It was my boyfriend birthday and I wanted to take him somewhere where I knew he would enjoy . I wasn't wrong and I planned the a great outing thanks to the help of Vin gesten trail adventures . I've gone horseback riding many times before but my boyfriend hadn't . It was a great first experience for him and enjoyed it very much . The tour guide was amazing and she was able to answer any questions and was super friendly. She had the horses ready to go when we got there but I'm glad she gave us time to look around the ranch and take pictures before riding . The ride was smooth and the horses were very responsive when being rode . We had a great time and Trisha out tour guide was awesome . I wish we could have done a longer horse trail. Would come back again and recommend it to friends and family
Our guide Michael was so nice! We loved the trail too! We'll be back!

Our trail ride was only about 35 minutes instead of an hour. For that amount of money it should be a few minutes longer than promised... not half the time you pay for. Aside from that guide and horses were nice. We just felt very jipped on time.
Everything was in order.
The horses were beautiful, the guide was friendly, the trail was so so. Have been on beginning horseback riding trails before, the one hour mark came back fast, and my horse (Thomas was testy but not a problem). It was great how the guide took photos of my sister and I together and emailed them to us afterwards. The winery we went to afterwards was great as well (Masia vineyards).
The guide was great, but unfortunately we picked a weekend where temperatures exceeded 100 degrees.
Our tour guide was really fantastic. Very knowledgeable and extremely friendly!!
Our guide was great, and the experience was so nice!!! One I'll never forget. Very romantic when we went to the winery afterwards. I would've given 5 stars, but I never received the photos that were taken and part of the package. Other than that, it was so much fun!
Guide was friendly and helpful! The actual ride with horses seemed to be about 35 minutes long and not an hour. Total experience of getting the horse set up, riding and feeding is where the hour was spent. Otherwise it was a great experience.
My girlfriend and I were so excited when we decided to try horseback riding, and it was all smiles from beginning to end. Vendella is an awesome guide, very professional and helped make the experience a memory. Being first time riders was kinda nervous for us both It was easy once she explained everything. We would definitely recommend!
Took days to get someone to ANSWER PHONE. 951-595-7802 number is no longer working but still listed. BETTER SIGNAGE for entrance into "Vin Hesten". Staff, instruction and everything was GREAT !!! How do you send this review rather than saving it?
Although the tour was very scenic, we thought the tour would be along vineyards. It was also a little shorter than expected. The horses and tour guide were great. With the exception of the condition of the ports-potty, we would highly recommend the experience.
It was my first time ever riding a horse and I really enjoyed it. My trail guide was amazing, she really took her time to explain everything and she was very professional. I would definitely come back again and I will recommend this place to all of my friends.
Excellent service during the horse ride. Had a great time. Highly recommended
Vindella was extremely gracious and helpful. However the amount of time spent on the trail was limited. From my perspective could have been longer ride on a more aggressive trial. But again this is just my perspective. My wife had a great time and that was the important part.
