- Rockingham Beach - Your day begins with a coach transfer from Perth or meet the boat at Val st Jetty, Rockingham (located in front of the Rockingham Cruising Yacht Club). On arrival you’ll board the Perth Wildlife Encounters custom-made dolphin swim vessel complete with a large rear platform, making access to the water very easy.
After your crew has located a pod, youâll gear up with wetsuits, masks and snorkels (all equipment is included) and then dive into the fun, as you are quickly surrounded by excited whistles and splashes as the dolphins arrive to play. While many resorts provide opportunities to swim with dolphins, the crewâs rapport with these precocious marine mammals has created one of the best swim-with-dolphins excursions in Australia. Better still, Rockingham is a brief, 40-minute drive from Perth, making it an easy day trip.
Following your swim, youâll be treated to lunch with gourmet Seafood platters.

Swim with wild dolphins in the sheltered bays and islands off Rockingham, only 40-minutes by road from Perth. This is a unique opportunity to interact with the dolphins in their natural environment. Over the course of 30 years, the crew has befriended over 200 local dolphins, and this familiarity makes for an incredible day interacting with these amazing, intelligent creatures.
- A basic level of swimming is required. You don’t need to be an expert swimmer and no previous snorkeling experience is necessary
- Please bring swimsuit, towel, a change of clothes, sunscreen, hat and a warm jacket
- Minimum age is 7 years
- Please advise any specific dietary requirements at time of booking

Safe rather than sorry and outstanding customer service from Sam. - I was due to go on this Swim with Wild Dolphins Experience. Unfortunately it was cancelled short notice due to poor weather conditions at sea. Wind and swell would have created poor visibility and be less than enjoyable for the experience. Faced with the dread of having to get a full refund I spoke with Sam at the company who transferred the experience into my friends name and extended the expiry date to end of 2024, when the local weather improves.
So whilst I was hugely disappointed not to do this experience, I totally understand why it was quite correctly cancelled for safety reasons. On the flip side my friend will get to do it - so she was very excited to receive it as a gift.
Sam was brilliant and sent through an email confirming our conversation. My friend was over the moon with my gift - and I will return to a company that solved a problem very sensibly and professionally and offered outstanding customer service. Thank you.

Amazing Crew - I was very impressed with this experience. The crew was exceptional, organized, helpful, fun, and informative. The crew enabled all of the guests to see the dolphins so close and with ease. I am thankful and grateful for all of the crew with this dolphin experience.

Great experience - Really great and knowledgeable tour guide. Everything was really well explained and we really enjoyed everything. There was slight mix up during booking but the guides on the day itself were all really professional handled our cases really well.

Amazing day definitely recommend - Amazing day. Found dolphins within 30 minutes. Multiple encounters in the water. Unreal day. Lunch was provided but not much choice of sandwiches if you don’t like mayo. Stinger suits however recommended taking protection for hands feet and neck as lots in the water. Would defiantly do this again as staff were is friendly.

Awesome. If I lived in Perth I would go every 6 months. - Absolutely amazing day. The crew were first class. They made sure that everyone had the best opportunity to swim with the dolphins. I couldn't fault any part of the experience. Special thankyou to Paris my wonderful guide, Jack the skipper and Darcy both my assistance out of the water and for looking after my diamond ring while I swam.

Wild dolphins swimming close by - Although the day we took the tour on April 20th was autumn, the weather was perfect, with clear skies and a temperature of 30°C. It was a spectacular sight to see wild dolphins swimming right next to and underneath us. After we finished swimming, the dolphins chased after the boat, perhaps reluctant to leave.
