As the road to Mud Vulcano is so bad, we will change our car to Soviet cars with the brand name Lada. It will be another Safari adventure for you. ;)

Gobustan located about 60 km far from Baku city center. It is historical ancient place which included to the UNESCO Heritage list. Gobustan is very rich with archaeological monuments.

The reserve has more than 6,000 rock engravings dating back between 5,000-40,000 years. The site also features the remains of inhabited caves, settlements and burials, all reflecting an intensive human use by the inhabitants of the area during the wet period that followed the last Ice Age, from the Upper Paleolithic to the Middle Ages.

Over a thousand mud volcanoes are known to exist in the world, and some 400 of those are in the coastal area of Azerbaijan.

Something old, something bubbly - I really liked the museum before you enter the area of the paintings. The volcanos were a bit difficult to find. Make sure you head to the big one as well, were you can swim as well.
