  • Gobustan Rock Art - Qobustan it is an ancient place of habitants which live in these areas on the dates of 5,000-40,000 years ago. It is located about about 60 km far from Baku city center. This location included to the UNESCO Heritage list.

Qobustan National Museum will help you to feel the history of first immigrants of these lands. The reserve has more than 6,000 rock engravings dating back between 5,000-40,000 years.

  • Mud Volcanoes - Azerbaijan also famous with its Mud Vulcanos which is very rear in the world. We will have a chance to see these Vulcanos which are near to Qobustan Museum. As the road to Mud Vulcano is so bad, we will change our car to Soviet cars with brand name Lada. It will be another Safari adventure for you. ;)
  • Ateshgah - Fire Temple - Is one of Azerbaijan’s most remarkable sight. According to historical sources, before the construction of the Indian Temple Of Fire in Surakhani at the end of the 17th, the local people also worshiped at this site because of the “seven holes with burning flame”.
  • Mardakan Castle - The castle was built in the middle of the 12th century by Akhsitan I, son of the Manuchihr III. The castle was used as a shelter and observation point of feudal.

The castle was built in a quadrangular form. It is divided into 5 tiers. The castle consists of 6 rooms. There are 76 stairs in the castle.

The journey commences at 10 a.m., beginning with a pick-up from your place of stay. We will explore the profound history stretching from the Stone Age up until the 19th century.

It presents a unique reservoir of knowledge spanning 10,000 BC to the Middle Ages in the areas of history, culture, art, and archaeology. Next, we visit one of Earth’s natural marvels, the Gobustan mud volcanoes, before taking a brief intermission for lunch.

The tour also features a trip to a sacred site for Zoroastrians, the Ateshgah Fire Temple. This site has been a magnet for fire worshippers for several centuries.

Our journey culminates with a visit to the Mardakan Castle, a fortress that has survived numerous assaults. You’ll experience an immersion into the Medieval times upon stepping into this location.

Pleasant day outside Baku - Very nice tour for the day. Azerbaijan was much nicer than I expected. Tour guides were great and spoke good English. Good history lesson.
