On this occasion, we introduce you to the most enormous and globally recognized cave system in Slovenia - the Postojna caves. This enthralling system, being two million years old and spanning 21 km, is one of the world’s most conveniently explored underground cave networks. You’ll initially enjoy a journey via electric train, followed by a supervised stroll through numerous cave halls, rich in stalagmites, pillars, and transparent drapes, which leave an indelible mark on your memory. This subterranean system is home to the enigmatic, exceptional, and rare amphibian, Proteus Anguinus, or the ‘baby dragon’, as it’s typically named here.
- There is a constant temperature of 10°C (50°F) in the caves, dress properly, and wear comfortable shoes (flipflops are not recommended).
- The minimum number of participants must apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative date/tour or full refund.
- In case you fail to provide us with a desired meeting point up until 24h before departure, your meeting point will be the City hotel (Dalmatinova 15, 1000 Ljubljana)
- Child rate applies only when sharing with 2 paying adults.

Absolutely worth the visit - Both the castle and the caves were amazing. Highly worth the visit. You will get a good workout on the stairs and ramps. Just dont forget a jacket! It is cold in the cave. Lucca was a great tour guide. He wanted to ensure we had a great experience. Plus he’s funny! He told a lot about Slovenia during the drive. I took two tours with this company and they were both outstanding.

Perfect afternoon visiting outstanding local attractions - Both the caves and castle were stunning and are a ‘must’ if you’re visiting Slovenia. The guide was very knowledgeable, with a perfect degree wit! This trip is excellent for a morning or afternoon, mini bus was comfortable.

Incredible experience - Our tour with Vladimir was an amazing day. He was very well organised and took care that we were safe at all times. The Predjama castle was an amazing sight which we enjoyed visiting, but the highlight was the caves. We have visited many caves before, and thought that these would not be much different, but Postojna caves were by far the best that we have ever visited! The train was such a wonderful experience and the size of the whole cave system was incredible. It was very crowded at the caves but it is very well organised getting all the tourists on to the trains and walking through the caves.

Great half day trip to Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle - Excellent tour. Caves were amazing and the castle was interesting and in a great location. everything ran on time and the tour guide Dom was friendly and interesting with lots of stories and information.

Great tour! - Our tour guide, Luka, was very nice and gave us a lot of information about Slovenia and also specifically about the places we visited. He picked us up on time and brought us home safely.
Predjama Castle is breathtaking and the Postojna Caves are impressive.
I thought it was good that this tour only takes half a day, so you're not exhausted at the end.

AVOID LAST MINUTE CANCELLATION RISK - Cancelled my tour at 8:30pm the day before. Just greed. Avoid. Service was poor also refused hotel pick up despite it being offered
