  • San Juan la Laguna - The last town we will visit is San Juan La Laguna. We will take a collective boat and, it will take us approximately 30 minutes to arrive. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
  • San Juan la Laguna - Upon reaching San Juan, we will walk through its main streets and visit the most colorful spots. This town is full of color and is characterized by the fact that many of its inhabitants are artists and make paints that reflect their worldview (the Mayan Cosmovision) and their culture.

This town will welcome us so that we can learn more about chocolate, the natural dyeing process of textiles, and Mayan honey. Get ready to continue enjoying.

This is the place where we will enjoy lunch. You will have 1 free hour for that.

  • Panajachel - The last point on our itinerary will be to take you back to your hotel. To take you back to Panajachel or Santa Cruz, where your hotel is located, we will need to take another collective boat. Enjoy the sparkling waters of the most beautiful lake. Thanks for traveling with us.

Brilliant experience - My husband and I had such a great time. The trip was planned really well by our guide Joel - thanks so much for showing us around beautiful Lake Atitlan. We managed to see much in a day, any questions we had Joel answered very thoroughly. I really do recommend this tour! It’s very personal and you really get to explore different villages well :-)

Great trip - Our day spent with Miguel was so lovely. He took us to see interesting Mayan demonstrations of textile weaving, harvesting honey, and making coffee and chocolate. He taught us about Mayan history and culture and was engaging and flexible with us all day. One small miscommunication was that our lunch was supposed to be included, but at lunch we were told we had to pay for our own drinks. In the future, it would be helpful to make this clear to travelers ahead of time for transparency.

Great time - We had a great time with Joe. He was really nice and we were the only people on the excursion. I def recommend. We ended up skipping one of the towns since it was just another church, but the end was great with great shopping.

Great tour - We had a great time on this tour! David met us at the hotel and let us to a boat that took us around the lake for the day, stopping in several small towns. He was knowledgeable about the towns and lake history, culture, and surrounding nature and took us to spots we would not have found otherwise. Since the towns are higher up than the lake, be aware there is a bit of walking up & down hills, wear the right shoes. All in all a great day - thank you!

Guide did not speak good English - Our guide, Miguel, was on time and a kind hearted good man. He seemed knowledgeable, but his English was poor and we were unable to learn enough to make the trip worthwhile. We had many interests and questions about the history and culture of the communities around the lake. It was our understanding for $110 per person that we would have a guide who spoke good English. We were disappointed.
