Don’t miss Palazzo Conte Frederico - We loved the personal touch - it was one of the owners themselves who gave the tour. The personal stories were very interesting. The owners are descendants of Emperor Frederico II. The home is unique and beautiful with many special artifacts from antiques to current -day trophies. Hand-painted Sicilian tile floors, Murano glass chandeliers. Don’t miss this.

A beautiful moment of travel. - There are few private and furnished palaces that can be visited in Palermo. This is a wonderful one, lost at the bottom of a dead end. The visit is given by the Count's family themselves, owners of this palace for generations. An unscheduled visit which will remain among my best memories of Palermo.

Tip top! The owner leads the tour! - If you find an old palazzo that was built over 400 years ago by a family and has been inhabited by them ever since in its original state interesting and appreciate being guided by the son of the family, you will get your money's worth! Great!

Very interesting and personal tour - The tour by the Federico family was very interesting. Andrea spoke very good German and English and told us about the family history. The Palazzo is very impressive and well worth seeing.

Amazing insight into Palermo’s past through this aristocratic Palazzo’s story - We were shown the house by the Count’s son, Nic Federico. He was utterly charming and supremely gracious throughout our visit. His passion and pride in the house contagious as he explained the 400 year history of the Palazzo to us. The house is filled with stunningly beautiful architecture, furnishings and objet d’art, all with fascinating stories attached. The tour is an hour and could easily take many more if he were to elaborate on all of these details! The hour flew by and we were left with an impression of the weight of tradition and insight into Sicilian history we couldn’t have gleaned in any other way so I am so glad we visited this amazing Palazzo! 100% recommend.

Personal tout of a 16th century palace by a countess. - The Countess gave a very personal tour of her family’s home - dates from the 16th century. Funny with great insights. Beautiful home exhibits the history of Polermo. Definitely a great stop.

The most interesting historic house in Palermo! - I have been travelling around Europe for many years visiting a number of historical palaces, houses and castles. I have to say that this was one of the best, most colourful and interesting visits. It was a house lived by the same family for hundreds of years and the present owner himself showed us the beautiful house and shared parts of the family's amazing very personal stories. This is number one place to visit if you are interested in history.

A historical dive into a family palazzo - A very informative visit, going a little off the usual beaten track. The explanations given in English and Italian are full of humor and family affection for the place and the history of the palazzo. It is not necessary to reserve, you can buy tickets on site, by arriving at 11 a.m. at the palazzo. Do not miss.

Unique place, a little shabby all the same - I'm divided. It is an astonishing place which magnificently evokes the past and which contains very interesting remains, both built and painted. But it is also a very neglected, and even saddening, place. We wonder if a simple stroke of the duster or sorting of the objects on display would not restore a little luster. The personal nature of the visit led by the owner is a plus.
