Dave was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable and made sure to share the history, and culture in shaded spots throughout the tour. Would highly recommend for anyone interested in learning about the rich history of the Garden District!
Nita was great, even in the pouring rain!! Lol I loved her take on the history of the city she obviously loves. The cemetery was my favorite part. Learned so much. I also really appreciated her sharing info about the different architectural styles and a bit of history about how they showed up in NOLA. The next time I come to town, I'd like to take the tour again. Perhaps Mother Nature will cooperate another time. :-). I would highly recommend the tour to anyone! Thanks for a great morning in the Garden District!
Even though the weather did not cooperate, the guide was personable and taught us several interesting points about the death ritual of folks in N.O. I hope to come back someday and catch a tour on a sunny day :-)
Would have preferred less talk about what celebrities live where, more info on house dates and design. Description said some info on plants would be given but that wasn't discussed at all.
Randy was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. We had a really nice time!
David was an excellent tour guide. His knowledge of architectural styles and of the history of the Garden District is impressive. He provided a wealth of information with impeccable delivery--dates, architectural details, historical information, all without a single filler word or sound (e.g., "um," "uh"). I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and will recommend it highly to my friends.
Our tour guide was excellent, but we had him before for the French quarter tour. He did a great job on both and very little of the information was in common however it would've been nice to have a choice, for variety / perspective.
Needa was an exceptional guide. The way she spoke was very easy to follow and she added a touch of humor to keep things interesting. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone visiting New Orleans.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and totally engaging... learned many new things.. a good time
Randy Bibb is amazing! Factual and entertaining...
Too much talk- rambling. Not enough learning . Heat may have been a factor
The Garden District Walking Tour was a great, informative way to see the Garden District and Lafayette Cemetery. Our tour guide, Randy Bibb, was excellent and very entertaining.
Loved the guide Dave. Very friendly and knowledgeable
We learned so much. It was so entertaining! We will do the tour again for sure!!!
Disappointed we did not see AHS' Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies.
Frank was very informative and tried to keep us moving and in the shade on a very warm day. It was a beautiful area!
Our tour guide, Dave, was so down to earth, knowledgeable, engaging and shared a wealth of fascinating information. Really started our first trip to New Orleans off right!
Our guide Dave, was very knowledgeable and interesting. He kept the tour moving.
Very good tour guide. Knowledgeable, friendly, good pace, found shade
Had a great time seeing the garden district and the cemetery. I wish the tour had been longer as we didn't get to spend nearly enough time at everything and there was way more to see.
The houses were beautiful and grand, the cemetery was amazing, and coupled with our guide's knowledge of history and culture, it made for a very interesting and educational tour.
Other than having gone to Savannah and Charleston I was hooked on the charm and the history of the south, mainly the architectural (antebellum) aspect of it. Finally 10 years later I made it to New Orleans. Our tour guide was extremely informative with a good sense of humor. I would highly recommend this tour to others.
Enjoyed the tour very much. Our guide was knowledgeable and fun. Especially enjoyed the cemetery.
Dave was great! He was a good speaker that shared interesting information and could answer any questions asked of him. This tour was our favorite part of the trip.
I thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Our guide was informative and friendly. We had a very large group - so it might have helped if she had a portable microphone. I would certainly refer you to friends traveling to NOLA.
Nita provided a well informed tour with great tips for the rest of our visit. She knows what she is talking about and she has fun with it!
Authentic info instead of lame entertainment.
Hard to hear with everything else going on around you and when our tour guide would turn her head away from you you couldn’t hear either. Otherwise, we enjoyed it.
The tour was excellent. However, the Rink, where the meeting place is located, had only one operating bathroom. There were at least 10 people waiting to use the bathroom when we arrived. We made 12.
Very knowledgeable tour guide, engaging, professional. Was a terrific experience. Thank you!
Jane was excellent and a very enthused story teller. She provided us snippets of history and gave context to the garden district neighborhood. She appeared to be knowledgeable and really seemed to be enjoying leading the tour. There was a large group of rather obnoxious young women who did not seem to care about the tour and were talking over her. She handled them well and did not let them affect her tour.
I LOVE the all the historical view points that our guide provided! She was fabulous!
Nita was fantastic and full of information and "kept the cats in a hurd". Great information and a deep love of her NOLA
All my expectations were met. The group was a good size of about 10. Gave a great overview of the cemetery and did not over endulge or dramatize. Saw some of the most amazing homes with great history behind them. My best take away is to alway look for tours given my the historical society. You know you are getting the true facts.
Frank is a great tour guide! Very informative and entertaining.
We had a great tour with Ralph as our docent guiding us through the Garden District and the Lafayette Cemetery. He was very knowledgeable and personable. We would definitely recommend Ralph as a docent for our friends.
Great tour with great information and an awesome and knowledgeable guide.
