We loved out tour guide Katie and driver Rob! She was very knowledgeable about beer and the breweries we visited. Our tour and tasting at Lagunitas was exceptional. Five stars for guide Taylor and all of the staff there that we interacted with! Cooperative had a great vibe and although they were very busy, staff was friendly and welcoming. My only disappointment was the staff at Barrel Brothers. The staff paid more attention to the customers at the bar than to our group so we had to work a little for their attention. Didn't feel very VIP there and didn't make me feel like I wanted to return. All in all, a fun day trying some beers I might not have otherwise tried.
Great job James!!!!! We appreciated your knowledge about our local breweries! Jeanny was an excellent bus driver!!!!
Great time , even educational about brew history with some fun people
Very relaxed and informative at the same time.
Although the tour was a good one, it would have been nice to stop the bus to eat lunch. We ate our sandwiches while driving to the next stop. It was a little messy. Also, we ran into traffic because Santa Rosa was hosting a triathlon and we ran into the bikers.
The tours and tasking were great. Lunch was good but would be better if we could eat the sandwiches at a picnic beer spot, but I get time is an issue. Need a better sound system in the van and play better music to keep the fun going.
Tim and Joe were great! We had a blast.
I enjoyed the Lagunitas experience and the beer was great all around. I would have liked to choose my own beer tasting at each establishment (or at least had options) as opposed to a set tasting picked in advance. My sandwich was great, but I saved half and when I returned to the bus it was gone (I guess it was ravished by ants?). Lastly, the guides were great but it would have been fun if there was maybe music playing on the bus... We did appreciate the drop off in Santa Rosa as an added bonus!
My Husband and I had an amazing time! Very fun, laid back, knowledgeable, and something we will tell our family and friends about!
It happened to be that my girlfriend and I were the only two people signed up for the tour and surprisingly, the tour was not canceled. Thinking we were the only 2 on the tour was a bit strange at first, but very quickly the tour guide made us very comfortable and sure knew what she was talking about. It made for a fantastic Sunday in the North Bay!
We had a great time with a great group of people. We definitely want to go again!
Had a great time! The North bay staff was knowledgeable and great to be around. I really enjoyed Lagunitas, but the entire tour was a great experience. The sandwich was the bomb. Definitely will be returning.
We loved Lagunitas but Barrel Brothers and Cooperidge we’re not as good in terms of beer. We LOVED the sandwich choices and thought James was an awesome driver!
this was fun and we are definitely glad we did it. there is room for improvement though. the shuttle is a piece of junk, which is ok, but the air conditioner was not effective after 2pm. if you are going to visit the smaller breweries, it seems they should be requested to have a little lecture prepared. I don't know how our tour benefits them, but we expect a more informative visit from the brewery. Otherwise, we could just take uber and get the same experience.
The tour guide was enjoyable and knowledgeable. I loved the tour at Lagunitas and I learned of a few smaller brewers and tried a lot of great beers. I have and will continue to spread the word of the brewery tour. I had a fantastic time and thank you for a great day.
This is our second time on this tour and both times w e totally enjoyed ourselves. Guide was amazing and so knowledgeable. She had an in depth explanation for everything. The rest of the patrons were very friendly and I think everyone enjoyed each others company. The only thing I think could have been done better was lunch. Part of the deal was a sandwich and we were able to select what we wanted from a good selection. BUT, we ate on the bus. We were given the choice to eat at the next winery but there really wasn't a place so most of us at while traveling from one brewery to the next. Just a comment though, that was such a minor thing and it would not hinder my from recommending the tour to someone else.
Many of the beers at the last brewery were quite hoppy. Few people in our tour cared for them. I think the tasting could have been a bit more tailored. Other than that, we enjoyed it.
No air conditioning was a big problem.Especially when advertised as part of the shuttle/bus experience. Otherwise it was a great day filled with knowledge and fun.
The tour was FANTASTIC!! Our tour guide and driver were super informative, really nice and a lot of fun. The stops were great and lots of delicious beer tastings. The lunch was superb and plenty of water to hydrate between stops. A keg of beer on the bus was a great touch! Only taking one star away because the bus had no air conditioning and it was over 90 degrees that day! Make sure to book when the weather is mild because it was really hard to get back in and ride in a sweltering bus after drinking beer. I wish we would have known that going in because it was VERY HOT and uncomfortable. All in all though....we would totally recommend to our friends.
Driver and Katie were excellent...
Great, knowledgeable staff, clean safe transportation. My friends loved the beer but we tasted a lot of the same varieties and I wish they had mixed it up a bit. Also wish that there had been more snacks provided or more opportunities to purchase food. The lunch that was provided was sandwiches that were drenched in mayo. They also got my boyfriend's order completely wrong and so he didn't have anything f to eat essentially for the whole trip. The other patrons were a lot of fun though and it was a good time overall.
Lagunitas was the most fun because of the storytelling and the Ambience. It was good to see various sizes of breweries. The bus was comfortable and it was nice to have a beer if we want to do it. Overall just a good time!
Kaite and James were awesome!! We'll definitely do this again and get a group together!
Lunch at Lagunitas would have been better than the sub sandwich on the bus.
Lagunitas was awesome but other breweries were so so.
I've lived in Sonoma County most of my life and have been to many breweries, but his was a great way to experience them. The crew was very informative and accommodating. There was alot of time spent at each brewery.. which is good and bad. I'd rather see another brewery or two and little less time spent at some.
Too much, lots of beers and many technical terms. Wonderful nice people.
