¡Fantastic! ¡Put Egypt on your bucket list! - I never dreamed of coming to Egypt, it wasnt in my bucket list. But Covid limited the options of places that we could go; so many restrictions everywhere. I found on Egypt not only a place where I could get an accesible visa but also a extremely welcoming country and people. Today I can say that theres so little publicity about this lovely country and the little advertisement you get are about the sphynx and the Gyza piramids... but those are the least interesting... this trip opened my eyes to such an amazing past and pride for heritage. There is so much in Egypt apart from what is announced. We made a trip starting in El Cairo, Giza, Saquara (¡Fantastic place that worths the stop!) and then Meet Mina our wonderful tour guide in Luxor. My boyfriend who works in finances and I who work as a Dermatologist are very interested not only in history but also facts, we are very practical travelers, not fancy but looking for valuable information and highlights of each place, hungry of learning. Nana delighted us not just with her nice manners and friendly attitude but also with the fact that she is somebody who studied History at the university, which means gettings fantastic facts and data. Nana took us to several temples including Luxor, Edfu, Karnak, Hatshepsut and the valley of the kings and queens. The carvings, the paintings, the colosal statues, the fact of getting inside the tombs and even the posibility of getting that close to history were priceless and the fact of doing it with somebody like Nana who is gonna fulfill your needs of history will make it perfect. Least but very important, you will feel completely safe in Egypt, no pickpockets or signs of violence, easy to get off harrassor selling and if you are interested in pictures, covid make possible not to have thousands of people on your pictures and accesible prices for sure. If you are looking for a destination I would put now Egypt on the top. ¡Thanks Nana for showing us such a wondeful side of Egypt!

Luxor excursions - We requested a private car and driver from the Hurghada Hilton Resort to the Luxor Hilton Resort. The Luxor Hilton Resort works with Nasco Tours and Mr. Nader sent a lovely clean, new van to fetch us. Safwat Abdelatef, the driver was friendly and polite, arriving on time. Safwat speaks very little English, yet managed to converse with us and make us feel welcome. The drive took about 4 hours through the desert and Safwat stopped at the halfway point at a roadside café to give us a break. While at the Luxor Hilton Resort we inquired about a tour of Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. Mr. Ahmed Zien, Nasco Travel Consultant made a couple of phone calls and offered us a private tour to start within the hour! We were pleased to see that Safwat Abdelatef was our driver again and we picked up a brilliant guide, Elijah at the temple. Elijah speaks clear fluent English (among other languages) and is a fountain of knowledge about the sites in Luxor. Mr. Ahmed Zien, Nasco Travel Consultant reserved for me a 3-night Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan. Ahmed Zien and Mr. Nader explained a couple of options and I selected the one that fit my budget and my preferences. I investigated Nile Cruise bookings on-line and there are lots of options. I appreciated Nasco Tours narrowing the choices down.

Seeing is really believing! - The Al-Deir Al Bahari Temple is a must see sight. Vandalised and destroyed as many of these great testaments to man's creativity have been, the Egyptian government thankfully have completed a major reconstruction to provide an indication of what it must have looked like when first built. It is spectacular! Sometimes in life, you witness something and have to sake your head. I had climbed the long staircase and was about to enter the temple room which was quite dark when I heard a familiar tap tap tap! I could not believe my eyes, coming towards me were a husband and wife couple, both with white sticks and appeared completely blind! That was not the end of this experience, once they got outside the man, standing at the top of this high staircase, pulls out a camera and takes a photo! Still don't believe it but I have the photo of them to prove it!
