A perfect private tour for my solo daytrip to Luxor! - Luxor was wow! A perfect private tour adapted to my pace and interest. My guide Alaadin was a most knowledgeable Archeologist / Egyptologist….He grew up on the west nile playing in the tombs as a child and has deep passion and knowledge for his region…made my day so much better and informative! My driver Mohamed was impeccable and made the car and drive super comfortable. Drive thru the desert of Safaga at sunrise to the road that lines the east bank of the Nile from Qena where everything becomes green and mountains are seen on the horizon…until Thebes (Luxor)…where magical wonders await! 💜 The Karnak complex was just crazy impressive, the heights, scale and history…all written on its walls and columns…it transported me to visions of ancient times… The Valley of Kings was just as impressive with its magnificent gigantic tombs decorated with ancient tales…Ancient Egyptians rulers considered their tombs their forever home so they took immeasurable care in constructing it (the longer the reign, the bigger the house..tomb;) The temple of the controversial and ambitious, Hatshepsut a history meant to be erased by her step-son but survived despite it all… And lastly, a wonderful and generous lunch on the Nile. What a day 💜
