Best way to view wildlife - As we gently rafted along the river, our wonderful guide Byron pointed out the numerous animals up in the trees and in the water which I would never have spotted on my own. I especially appreciated the efforts of Caribbean Winds to restore the shoreline riparian area by planting a tree on each outing. This was absolutely one of the highlights of my time in Costa Rica.

Amazing experience. - This was definitely a highlight of our holiday to Costa Rica, our tour guide Pepe was brilliant, his English was very good and he was very kind, warm and knowledgeable. Pepe helped us to see an amazing amount of wildlife and allowed us plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings. A definite highlight of the trip was climbing into the river bank to plant and name a tree, it felt incredible to be able to give something back to this beautiful country.

Safari Float wonders - Gerald and Byron were excellent guides for this amazing trip down the river. They went out of their way to make sure that we saw as many animals and birds as possible. The pace is linked to the speed of the river but they stopped the raft when we saw some creatures. Thier knowledge and enthusiasm was infectious and the whole group loved it. Definitely a high quality highlight of La Fortuna

Top experience in Arunel, a great choice for nature lovers - Did Safari Floats in Arunel, great experience, perfect river to float down spotting animals. Saw a sloth, howler monkeys, kingfishers, vultures, iguanas and others. Guides were super knowledgeable and were excellent at identifying and spotting all animals, including difficult to identify birds. Loved planting a tree aswell. Had a top time and would recommend. We had Fila as a guide, he was truly wonderful, loved having a chat with him, and Johnny was good at explaining all we would see and do.

Awesome experience! - This was a fantastic tour from start to finish. The enthusiasm and passion by our guides Geraldo and Carlos, senior guides was incredible. We saw so much wildlife along the river and learned so much about the ecosystem of the river and banks. I loved that the kids were so involved and loved that we planted trees along the river bank. There was a lovely fresh fruit picnic at the end of the float down the river. I would highly recommend Caribbean Winds. Thanks so much!

Great experience, would recommend - Great experience! The guides were friendly and knowledgeable and were passionate about finding the wildlife for us to see. Our guide Fi was very good! We were lucky enough to see a sloth, howler monkeys and a Jesus Christ Lizard amongst other things. They had water on board and served fruit at the end which was much appreciated! We arranged pickup from a nearby hotel and they arrived promptly. Water comes up through the bottom of the raft so if you take a bag it will most likely get wet.

Lovely trip! - Had a wonderful morning on the river raft with Fi and his son. We saw howler monkeys, iguanas, a sloth, lots of birds and a Jesus Christ lizard. They gave us some really interesting facts about la fortuna and all the wildlife and their friendly and approachable manner made the trip relaxing and enjoyable. Would recommend to friends and family.

Passionate guides and beautiful surroundings - Passionate guides that knew a lot about the plants and animals. My seven year old and five year old both enjoyed the day. We got to see two types of sloths, two types of monkeys, a little toucan, iguanas, and lots of birds. My daughter got to swim in the river with a guide keeping her safe near the end of our ride while the adults planted a tree by the riverside. It was a special day.

Great float with a wonderful guide - Carlos is an amazing guide and a fun person to spend time with. The river float includes a brief stop to plant a tree to help restore the riparian ecosystem, and Carlos' love of the forest and enthusiasm for preserving and restoring it is contagious. On the float you will see why he loves this forest. We saw monkeys, a sloth climbing around (in the daytime!) directly overhead, iguanas, a green basilisk, and so many different beautiful birds. I highly recommend this trip.

Great afternoon adventure down the river! - Must do experience. We went on the 2pm tour and the whole Caribbean Winds team were professional, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the starting point where we joined a larger group, but ended up with 6 on our raft with our guide Byron. Byron was very freidnly and knew his stuff. It wasn't a rushed tour, we regularly stopped the boat to enjoy the scenery and spot the animals. We saw three groups of Howler monkeys, birds and enjoyed paddling down the river whilst looking out for other wildlife. Then we planted a tree on a quick stop, finishing off the experience with a final float down the river and some fresh fruit. Great afternoon adventure!
