Allow yourself to be captivated by the thousands of enchanting glowworms overhead as you leisurely explore the renowned Skocjan Caves. Seize the opportunity to feel firsthand the terrain of this wine-producing region from ‘INSIDE OUT’ and familiarize yourself with this distinctive terroir by exploring beneath the soil.

However, the Caves, Karst & Wine Trail was equally designed to offer travelers the chance to discover the expansive Wine region of Slovenia known as “Primorska”, complete with an array of distinguished wineries and traditional food. This full-day tour guided by one of our wine specialists is designed for a small group.

The itinerary includes a visit to an age-old wine cellar, a trip to Skocjan caves, followed by lunch and a tour of a classic Karst winery. White & red wine tasting is also part of the tour, along with a trip to a medieval village dating back to the early 15th century.

• Our tour runs regardless of weather conditions - rain, hail or shine! Our tour lasts nine hours, and involves some walking, so be sure to bring comfortable footwear. Your guide will stay with you throughout the tour, and you can make requests about any special dietary requirements such as any food allergies or foods you prefer to avoid eating.
