Huye - King’s Palace Museum
A rebuild of the royal residence in the shape of a beehive is the king’s palace, beautifully-crafted. Nyanza was the heart of Rwanda according to oral tradition as it was the battlefield for power and dominion. This Monarchy used to be mobile with the court having no specific location. It took rest when it was established in Nyanza making it the kingdom’s capital with a then population of 2000 inhabitants preserving methods as seen here.
Nyungwe Forest National Park - Tropical waterfalls hike

Chimpanzee trekking & return to Kigali
Nyungwe Forest National Park - After early breakfast, transfer to the reception center by 5:00 Am where we meet the ranger guides and from there drive to the point where you start the hike into Nyungwe/ Cyamudongo forest. It may take between 30 minutes and 2 hours to locate the chimps, and after spending the one hour of following them closely in the forest you will return to your lodge for lunch and
thereafter drive back to Kigali.

Two-Day Chimp Tracking Expedition (Nyungwe National Park)
Day 1: Journey from Kigali to Nyungwe National Park via Butare/Huye
Our bilingual English/French tour lead will gather you at 10:00 AM after your morning meal from your accommodation in Kigali. After a brief rundown, you’ll head out towards Nyungwe National Park, located in Rwanda’s lower Province. The ride from Kigali to the park will take approximately 6-7 hours. If time grants, a few stopovers could be made at the King Palace Museum, Rwanda’s National Museum, as well as the Huye Mountain Coffee and Tea plantations. You’ll check into your lodge in time for supper and a night’s rest.

Day 2: Chimp Tracking & back to Kigali
Begin your day with an early meal, then whisk away to the reception center by 5:00 AM. Here you’ll rendezvous with the park ranger guides who will escort you to starting point of your Nyungwe/ Cyamudongo forest exploration. Finding the chimps could take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. The day’s activities conclude with a return trip to Kigali.
