Highlights

Amboseli National Park - 0500hrs:Depart for the Amboseli National Park via the Nairobi

We catch the African sunrise as we progress towards Amboseli

The morning drive is via African savanna country dotted with local homesteads and colorful Masai herdsmen grazing their cattle.

There shall be a brief breakfast stop on the way

On arrival at the Amboseli, proceed for a game viewing drive in search of Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra, Lion, Cheetah, Warthog, Ostrich and more

The Mount Kilimanjaro dominates the skyline and surrounding country.

It is the tallest mountain in Africa and the highest free standing mountain in the world.

While Mount Kilimanjaro remains in the background we shall marvel at the wildlife and scenery found in this park.

Enjoy buffet lunch at the lodge (own expense)

A short early afternoon game viewing drive as we exit the park.

Later depart for Nairobi to arrive in the early evening.

Additional Information

Amboseli is set on the Kenyan plains with Mt Kilimanjaro as a backdrop in the distance, the park is world-famous for its substantial population of African Elephants which can be seen in herds of over 100 individuals. In particular the large bull elephants have some of the largest tusks in the animal kingdom. Also to be spotted are ample herds of buffalo, wildebeest, zebra and impala, as well as giraffes and warthog. With all this variety you can be sure a healthy population of predators also call Amboseli home. Lions, leopards, caracals, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas and serval cats are all frequently seen in the park

Fantastic day out! - We had a wonderful time on our day trip to Amboseli national park. It was well worth getting up at 4am. Samuel and Albert our drivers were brilliant. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. They were willing to stop anytime we wanted to take photos. We saw so many different animals it was just sad the lions didn't make an appearance but the elephants made up for it! For most of the morning we had magnificent views of Mt Kilimanjaro. I know that is not always the case. The lunch at Ol Tukai was outstanding. We all wished we could have stayed longer. Shadrack was wonderful and so patient with making the arrangements for our group of 14. If you want a wonderful day out and to support a small local company, get in touch with Shadrack at African Beast Tours. They will take very good care of you.

Excellent tour guide - Martin was an excellent driver and tour guide! Very knowledgeable. We saw tons of elephants and other animals and even had great views of Killamanjaro. Highly recommend!

Book it!! - Tony was amazing! We had a great time in the park and we saw almost every animal you’d expect to see on a safari. The park is stunning and lunch was absolutely delicious! Would book again.
