The city is dominated by Mehrangarh Fort, one of the most impressive and interesting forts in all of Rajasthan. Below the fort, the markets of Jodhpur are vibrant and chaotic; reflecting not just the multi-cultural composition of its people but also Jodhpur’s long history as a center.

Mehrangarh Fort is not a single body structure its contents lots of palace and courtyard which add on different era so it keeps the history of 500 years with so many kinds of objects with ruins.
As well as some of the high places that will give you such a nice overview of the blue city.
Later on we can proceed to walk in an off-beat part of the blue city. There you can enjoy your camera and if you want nice street food and we will visit the local market and visit the step well at the end of the tour.

Great tour by a great guide - Ravi is an amazing guide. Best tour I've ever been on....most personal, flexible, tailored tour I've seen. We did the walking part of the tour the evening prior to avoid the oppressive heat (we happened to both be free, so this may not always be the case). Smart move because it was blazing hot by tour's end the next day. Lots of free time to explore, as Ravi says "I don't want to be your class monitor". So he left me time to wander around some of the markets and temples on my own....great touch. I cannot recommend him enough. Everything was smooth, seamless, and I never felt rushed.

Great tour of Jodphur's Blue City + Fort - Ravi gave us a great tour of Jodphur's blue city and fort! I highly recommend him as a tour guide for the area. It was really nice that this tour is booked directly with Ravi instead of a tour group, as it means that it can be personalized for what you want to do/learn about.

Great tour of jodphur! - Great tour of jodphur from Ravi! We really enjoyed, he was so knowledgeable and took us to some great hidden spots. He also gave us the number of his cousin for a cooking class, her name was Harsha. I can’t recommend her enough she was so great.

Great tour with a fun guide - Ravi was a very kind and helpful guide, who knew a lot about the city as well as was able to answer all of our questions. He showed us all the must-see places in the Old Town, and then took us through some beautiful hidden pathways in the Blue City. We were very happy with the experience and learned a lot about the beautiful city of Jodhpur! Would highly recommend:)

This is the Tour to Take! - Strolling Jodhpur with Ravi is like spending time with a friend. He seemed to all the time in the world to make sure you have an excellent experience, and to answer any questions. He is gregarious, kind, polite and very knowledgeable about his city. We tucked into small alleys and temples, but also braved the marketplace! We met many unique individuals along the way - including a woman who owned a beauty parlor in her home where I had a manicure and a facial treatment this morning! A truly local encounter. As The Senior Nomads, we highly recommend Ravi’s tour..

Indian cooking class with Ravindra and family - Ravindra received us in his home with his family. They made dinner for us and explained Indian dishes. Then we all shared dinner together. I will never forget this special moment, their hospitality was really moving. I totally recommend his Indian cooking class!

Insider Jodhpur! - Ravi met with us the night we arrived and helped us plot out our short stay - we had an incredible time thanks to him! From setting up our driver, to helping us time our visits, even where to shop and make reservations for dinner - what a class act! Our walking tour of the blue city was so peaceful, fun, and informative, and he helped us take some great photos! Endlessly helpful and generous with his time and advice, we would recommend Ravi to anyone visiting Jodhpur.

MahaRavi of Jodhpur - So our guide Ravi gave us a fabulous tour of Jodhpur with some great insights that without him we would never have found out. Also took us to some street stalls for local snacks which were excellent and most importantly our delicate western stomachs went unscathed.

Good tour of Fort and the blue city - There was a mix-up with the tour date, but the tour guide came and gave us a tour we wanted. It was nice to have someone with knowledge of the place to show us around. He took us to several shops for souvenir. We probably wouldn’t have bought anything if it weren’t for the tour guide so it was nice to have something I can take back home. I liked the spice shop the most. I had fun smelling the different spices. We were also able to taste the local sweets and snacks. On the other hand, the time is limited so the tour around the fort felt rushed. At the end, the tour guide was very nice and prepared us rides for the evening plans. Overall, we enjoyed our time in Jodhpur.
