Jasper Food Tours is thrilled to announce its grand opening in Jasper National Park! Starting May 26, 2018, foodies and adventurers alike are welcomed to join in daily Downtown Foodie Tours, the first ever culinary walking tour through Jasper’s downtown core.

Exploring and learning about Jasper has never been so delicious. Meeting daily at 2:30 PM at the Visitor Information Centre lawn, the 3-hour walking tour brings guests around the town of Jasper sharing history while travelling between four local restaurants and visiting points of interest along the way. At each restaurant, guests will try a top dish and a perfectly paired boozy drink to experience the real taste of Jasper’s food scene.

What’s on the menu? Not telling. It’s all part of the adventure.

As guests cruise between each scrumptious stop they will be enjoying not only exquisite eats but some of Jasper’s tastiest tales by getting the rundown of the bewildering history of this spectacular mountain town. The goal? For each guest to leave full, in both body and mind, with memories and cravings for a lifetime!

Just do it - Great experience, enjoyed the food tour itself but Nic our guide also took us to some of the cool spots and historic places. It was very informative and the food was just splendid.

10/10 unless we can give a 20/10 - I cannot say enough about the tour today! Nicolas (originally from Quebec) was knowledgeable, fun and caring. The food and drink pairings was fantastic and the people on the tour were so friendly. It was such a great experience for us since we do come to Jasper alot. Totally recommend people to take a tour if its the first time or 20th time in Jasper. Only complaint....I wanted to keep going!!!! Will definitely be signing up for the Pic-nic hike!

Great food/local knowledge. - I didn't quite know what to expect with Jasper being a small town but their food culture is very mixed so we got a great range of food with a paired (local) beer or wine. I also learnt some history and interesting facts of local projects as well. Our guide was very friendly, easy going and knowledgeable.

Fantastic food tour! - Nicholas was the perfect tour guide; friendly, professional, accommodating. He was very knowledgable about food and wine. Jasper has a great food scene and this tour showed this side of Jasper in the best way. Strongly recommend this tour!

A great sense of belonging 😃 - The host Nick was informative, respectful and made me feel so comfortable in a large group. It was one of the best tours I have been on. And I have travelled to approx 100 countries in the world.

Fun afternoon - We were a group of 4. One vegetarian in the group. There was something for everyone. First time on a food tour. Would highly recommend. Went back to a couple of restaurants.

Amazing food tour would definitely recommend! - I was super surprised that every meal and beverage was delicious. Sarah was our guide and she was excellent. She’s very passionate about Jasper’s history and it was awesome to see and hear about some of it while walking to each restaurant. Would definitely recommend!

Great way to get to know Jasper - We just finished our tour with Nick. He took us to 4 places where we had food and an alcoholic drink. My favourite was a Moroccan place but they were all good. Nick shared his considerable knowledge about Jasper including its rich history and interesting personalities.

The highlight of our trip to Jasper - We participated in the Half Day Jasper Culture Food Tour between Christmas and New Years 2023 and had the time of our life. We had no idea what to expect as we have never done one before. The guide was very informative and read the room well. The other participants ended up being so much fun and we ended up partying together for the remainder of the evening- returning to many of the establishments that the food tour took us too. This is a great way to meet new people and see what some of the best restaurants and bars have to offer. I would highly recommend this food tour.

Jasper Food Tour - The food tour with Sarah was a lovely way to spend an afternoon, to not only eat delicious food but to learn more about the history of Jasper. Sarah was great company and the afternoon passed quickly. Tour would have been even better if food choices offered greater variety as three of the courses were too ‘fibrous’- chickpea based and brussel sprouts- a bit harsh on our stomachs. Dessert at Fiddle Creek was the highlight dish-scrumptious cheesecake.
