Communication was very clear and they respond very fast. The tour was very well managed and we had a chance to see weed farming, experience village life, visiting primary school and hospital and had lunch in host family. Our guide was very good and could give us deep information. In some places they were asking for tips or little contribution, but not pushy. They asked to write down the comment and if you feels like you could leave tip. In the e-mail we received from Colours of Zanzibar was written that everything is included in the price even the tips. So it is up to you how you feel about tips. But people were not pushy in that. Highly recomment this tour and we would deffinetly do it again.

Could be done without the guide - Interesting to see the local life and household procedures we don’t use over 50 years so this part is quite impressive. But 90% of the time it’s not allowed to take photos of people (they don’t like it even from the distance of 20 meters and start screaming). So it’s perfect if you want to walk around for 1 hour but if u’re hunting for pictures be prepared for lots of negative. The tour guide gave the basic information and then left me at the middle of the village 10 minutes walk from my hotel saying “that’s it”. I’ve had around 15 tours in Zanzibar the whole month but that was at first. It was very impolite and unprofessional. There’s no pick up or drop off at the hotel option even if you’re located at jambiani, but they organized one for me after contacting the agency directly. I was the only person on the tour and even though I paid for 2 people (it was the only option to book) I had to beg for starting the tour at my hotel or at least picking me up because the walking distance was 48 minutes.
