Hoi An, Da Nang departure for DMZ

Dragon Travel Viet - At 7:00 AM, we will pick you up from your hotel in either Hoi An or Da Nang to commence the DMZ tour. We’ll make our way to Dong Ha town, where you’ll have a chance to take a brief respite. Our first visit will be to the Rockpile, followed by the Dakrong Bridge and the historic Ho Chi Minh trails en route to the Khe Sanh combat base. This site was the scene of intense fighting in Quang Tri and was a US base that came under siege in early 1968. You’ll get to observe the remnants of a former airstrip. At the Ta Con airport museum, you’ll encounter artifacts that reflect the severity of the war and the resilience of the Quang Tri people in their struggle against adversaries.
Lunch will be served in Dong Ha town.
In the afternoon, we’ll proceed along highway 1, where you’ll gain insights into the history of the ancient Quang Tri citadel, the La Vang Church, and make a stop at the Hien Luong Bridge over the Ben Hai River. This river once demarcated the division between North and South Vietnam from 1954 to 1972. We’ll then visit the Vinh Moc tunnels, an underground network created by villagers as a refuge from aerial bombardments during the American War. This remarkable site is where an entire community lived and waged their battles for over two years.

DMZ - HUE imperial city

Hue - At 8:30 AM, our guide will greet you at your hotel and start the journey to explore the Citadel, an enclosed fortress and former palace within the city of Hue, which once served as the imperial seat of Vietnam. Inside, you’ll discover the Forbidden Purple City. Following this, we’ll visit several notable sites including the Thien Mu Pagoda, Vietnam’s oldest pagoda, and a royal tomb from the Nguyễn Dynasty. A local restaurant will host us for lunch.

The return trip includes a drive by the Hai Van Pass and a view of the picturesque fishing village of Lang Co. We’ll continue our travel back to Hoi An, concluding the tour at 3 PM.
