VanJessica was tremendous! You need to find a way to keep her! Even if part-time. Her command of historical and literary detail was impressive but she wove some great themes throughout the tour. Impactful. Thanks! John Pappas and Traci Turner (fellow English Major)
It was great, Melissa was a great tour guide and explained things in way that we wanted to hear more and more.
So this was a great overview of historic Philadelphia, thoroughly enjoyed it. The morning was gorgeous and the walk was easy, actually really nice. We picked several sites and went back once the tour was over for extended time at those. Glad that Nathan was our guide, he was upbeat, personable, and threw in a few good quotes from some of the historical figures he was speaking about, nice theatrical flare. Big thumbs up from our group.
Lots of information was provided. Your would have been more enjoyable had we actually gotten to go into places. Pace could be adjusted to better suit physical limitations of guest.

The tour guide, Conner, was knowledgeable, articulate, and personable. We proceeded at steady pace that seemed to be tolerable for everyone in the group. I tossed some "fun facts" at Conner which he countered with obscure facts of his own. Since I am a retired history teacher I was so happy to converse with an American who actually knew their history. Conner also has a keen sense of humor which he was not shy to share. I will certainly recommend your walking tour to others. Mary Pat Carroll
Tour guides walked too fast for the group of students , teachers and parents to keep up.
The tour was a great overview of the sites. Would have liked to hear more history and historical stories from our tour guide. However, Van was great and got all of the kids involved.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history and was fun. She answered questions with a well thought out answer.
We would have liked to go into one or more of the historic places that we stood in front of.
Nice overview, well paced, personable and well informed guide
We did not realize we would not be going inside the building sites to see the Liberty Bell, Betsy Ross’s home, etc. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and informative but we had heard they often dressed from Colonial Times and this was not the case.
The tour guide was knowledgeable and personable. However to make it better would for her to have a small megaphone to hear better. Also, time to go into the liberty bell and through a couple of buildings would have been nice, even just 10 minutes:)
Our tour guide was very informative and engaging!
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot.
Rating is based on the knowledge of the guide. He was friendly. Learned new facts.
It was alright. Tour guide should wear a little cleaner clothes, but gave good information.
Great tour but thought we would get to step in more places. Guide was informative and friendly.
Our tour guide was very good at what he did. He had a firm knowledge of the buildings on the tour, the men and when whose stories were covered in the tour, etc. He was also professional, spoke clearly, and could be easily heard. He was also very friendly to everyone in our tour group. However, his personal hygiene was lacking. It was apparent to all the members of my family that he had not bathed in a number of days (body odor smell). And his clothing was very soiled, in particular, his shirt and shorts. These are small things, but it was why I did not give the tour a 5 star rating. However, we would recommend to tour to friends and family. We really enjoyed it.
I would have enjoyed seeing more authentic materials besides guns/swords. Loved seeing the tent though.
I loved this tour! Melissa was my tour guide, and she was extremely knowledgeable and friendly! This was my first time in Philadelphia, and there is no other tour I would recommend!
I was a little disappointed that we didn't get closer to the Liberty Bell or the Betsy Ross house, but I understand the time constraints/waiting in line. We walked back to the Betsy Ross house and Elfreth's Alley after the tour, so that was helpful. Our guide Connor was professional and funny and we enjoyed our tour.
Wonderful guide, very knowledgeable, great fun, just the right length
Melissa had the perfect combination of friendliness, all the information we could handle, great responses to our questions, good perspective on past events and an engaging sense of humor. The amount of time for the tour was appropriate - weather was fine - tour must be awful on cold, hot or rainy days!
Great walking tour and good leader. We will take other tours when we return to Philadelphia.
Conner, our tour guide, was amazing. He was patient, funny, and made the entire experience fantastic!
