Grand Canyon South Rim - Our biblical creation tours of the Grand Canyon National Park’s South Rim include multiple stops to the very best overlooks with tons of insightful teaching throughout the day. The order below is a “typical” route, focusing on the park’s east side along Desert View Drive.

Due to changing weather, seasons, or the people flow in the park that day, we may have alternate stops or order other than what we provide below. Our tours are not “scripted”, so guides have the freedom and flexibility to respond to changes in the park as well as your own individual group dynamic.

Discover the Grand Canyon through the lens of biblical creation with Canyon Ministries.

We meet within the park, by the flag pole at the Grand Canyon Visitor Center, approximately four hours before sunset. Our Sunset Rim Tour takes you to the finest spots on the eastern side of the South Rim. En route on Desert View Drive, you’ll travel with ease in our comfortable tour vehicle, stopping at each spectacular viewing point.

At each destination, we disembark from the vehicle to soak in the stunning scenery, engage in exploration, and partake in insightful teachings that tie into what we observe around us.

Throughout the journey, your tour guide will share insights about the canyon’s geology, flora and fauna, human history, and importantly, the biblical account of Creation and the Flood as detailed in the book of Genesis. We culminate the tour by appreciating the handiwork of the Creator during a breathtaking sunset over the rim in the distant west.

Grand Canyon Visitor Center

South Entrance Road

Meeting location is in the park, at the flag pole just outside the Grand National Park Visitor Center building. The Grand Canyon Visitor Center is the main one INSIDE the park, not the IMAX building outside the park in Tusayan. After entry, follow the signs or park map to the Visitor Center.

Amazing! God Rocks!! - Phenomenal!! We had never seen the canyon, so our guide offered to helped us approach the first lookout sight, sort of with our eyes closed as she guided us to the edge and then told us when to look! It was so breathtaking!! She presented scripture and science that created a real sense that this may very well be the result of a worldwide flood as described in Genesis. God's ways are so amazing! What was also particularly great was that it was freezing and winds were gusting over 50 mph with ice pellets hitting our face. It was a total relief to be able to hop in the van to escape the weather between look outs and lessons!! Finally, I would recommend this as a first event during your stay in the canyon because the guide was very familiar and knew right where to take us in the van. I would have been trying to figure it out. Her guidance on day one, helped us a lot when we were there the next day.
