5 Days Desert Tour Fes-Marrakesh - We had an Amazing 5 days Sahara Desert Trip from Fes to Marrakesh! Thanks to our guide Hakim and everyone else along the trip, we had the chance to learn and discover the beauty of Morocco's many sceneries and histories. From the middle to the high Atlas passing through Merzouga Desert, the Dades Canyons, etc. I strongly recommend AST agency, providing comfortable Riads, great meals and activities all the way. Hakim, our guide and driver was also very professional and cautious on the Road. Will certainly keep this contact for future trips to Morocco. Thank you Authentic Sahara Tours!!!

Great experience! - Absolutely amazing experience!! Jamal, our driver, was a star. He’s a great driver, a great guide and simply good company. The two places we stayed were great. Pueblo Touareg was definitely the nicest night of the trip and the hotel Dar Blues in Dadis valley was very nice too. Communication prior to the trip, with Lahcem, was impeccable too. I have to say that the tour is quite pricey, and there might be other cheaper tours that offer similar quality, but I wouldn’t know. We decided to pay more to have a guaranteed great experience and that’s what we got, so no complaints! Thanks for everything Jamal and Lahcem!

Best 3 days of our trip!! - We had the most wonderful, unforgettable experience during this 3 day tour thanks to our guide Walid who was always professional, knowledgeable and funny. The Sahara Desert was even more magical than I had imagined. Watching the desert sunset while riding a camel and stargazing at night were truly unforgettable experiences. The desert camp (Pueblo Touareg) was very luxurious and private, and I was absolutely blown away by the food prepared by chef Salem who has many years of international experience as a chef in various cuisines. The food at the camp was much better than many fine dining restaurants I’ve been to in Canada. We learned so much about the Amazigh (Berber) culture through Salem who even introduced us to some of the nomad Amazigh families in the black desert. The desert was definitely the highlight but the stops along the way included so many pleasant surprises such as seeing monkeys in the forest, walking through the beautiful Todgha Gorge, scenic drive along the famous zigzag road at Dades Valley, a tour of Aït Benhaddou (UNESCO world heritage site) with a local guide, and many more. Walid made sure everything went smoothly throughout the tour and always made us feel very comfortable. We also appreciated the flexibility of stopping whenever we needed to use an ATM or washroom especially during some of the longer car rides, and we never felt pushed to do anything we didn’t want to do. He even offered to take many photos for us throughout the trip. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone planning on visiting Morocco and I can guarantee you will have an amazing time with Walid!!

An absolute MUST on your itinerary - Truly unforgettable! Wow, what an experience... We fell in love with Morocco on this tour, This is an absolute MUST on your Morocco itinerary. Walid (our guide and driver) is an exceptional human being with so much knowledge of his country and he is very passionate/proud to share its history and culture with us. He is at the same time extremely thoughtful and is always looking to make us comfortable on our long journey through Morocco, which I might add is just the most magical place with its diverse agriculture, history, cuisine and landscapes. We are truly going to miss our gracious guide. (If you sign up, please ask for Walid, you won’t regret it!) The highlight of our trip of course was the campsite in the Sahara Desert. The camel ride through the calm beautiful dunes, watching the sunset, was something out of a novel. Salem (owner of the campsite) is a global chef who prepared us an amazing 5-course meal, followed by an unforgettable campfire under the stars. Salem and his friends played music, sang and shared with us the beautiful and sophisticated culture and history of the Amazigh people. Just sign up, you will NOT regret it! Happy travels:)

great way to see Morocco - We took this tour however, modified it to start from from Tangier, including Chef chaouento Fez and then to Marrakesh via the Middle Atlas Mountains, the desert and High Atlas Mountains. Morocco was amazing and we enjoyed our tour greatly. We had the same driver/tour guide the entire time Aboubakr, who was very knowledgeable and friendly. We were able to adjust our schedule, where we stopped, what we saw and when we ate. We were impressed by the local guides in Fez and Marrakesh. Aboubakr went out of his way to ensure we were aware of other sites that we might want to see which were not included in the formal tours and provided transport to and from these locations if required. The desert experience was a highlight being more private then many of the other larger camps we passed on the way to our camp. It was very authentic and the food was wonderful. We would highly recommend AST (Authentid Sahara Tours) and Aboubakr.

Excellent 3 Day Trip from Fes to Marrakech - My partner and I had the best private 3 day trip from Fes to Marrakech last week. Our amazing driver- and guide Hamza picked us up right on time from our Riad in Fes and began our journey to the desert and then on to Marrakech. My first comment is about booking for AST. While other desert tour groups you have to email them to inquire for dates and prices and wait for them to email back (which can take days and be arduous) booking with AST was quick and easy. All you have to do is put in the dates you want- get the price immediately and book right then and there- no back and forth with emails and booking. We were able to experience things at our pace and Hamza was great at allowing us to stop when we wanted- and carry on when stops didnt interest us as much. Moveover what I really appreciated was the lack of forced shopping. At no point did I feel like the stops were part of an arranged shopping trip (can happen a lot with other Morocco tours) The highlight was really the desert which was incredible. the stars at night and riding a camel in the Sahara truly is a once in a lifetime experience. The camp they arranged for us to stop at, Pueblo Touareg Desert Camp, was gorgeous and because we were the only people that had booked for that night- it was a private camp to ourself. Specifically about Hamza- a review below said it best and more eloquently than I can - "we were particularly impressed that Hamza seemed to have good relationships with locals everywhere we stopped ...From knowing the best places to stop for lunch, keeping us caffeinated, and allowing us to experience his ecclectic taste of Arabic, French, and Top 100 songs, we had a great time!" In all fairness his music, humor and balance between chatiness and quietness was ideal. not only was he great on the trip- but after dropping us off he followed up with us to make sure we were doing ok in Marrakech and settling in nicely to the Riad and to the city. Really cool guy. I would rate it a 10/10
