Excellent tour - We really enjoyed our tour with Robert. He was engaging and the pace of the tour was perfect. We visited a number of areas just off the Royal Mile and he pointed out some excellent photo opportunities. Well worth the investment and we would thoroughly recommend.

Epic - This is a must do must see tour! Robert turns the history of Scotland into an epic story packed with the history and knowledge of the land. He clearly loves his job and enjoys meeting with people. He made memories with me family! I also want to see that his communication via email was superb and he was flexible…just plain awesome!

Wonderful walk through the city - My family had a wonderful time on this tour. Robert was very attentive to our needs and frequently checked on our comfort level while walking in the random showers. He was a great historian and storyteller. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to learn the history of Edinburgh.

Engaging and Entertaining - We thoroughly enjoyed Robert’s narrative of the early history of Scotland and in particular Edinburgh. Robert is very knowledgeable, funny and engaging throughout our 2-1/2 hour tour. We saw parts of Edinburgh aside from the Miracle Mile and concluded the tour at Grayfriar’s cemetery. There was not a dull moment and we highly recommend Robert and his private tour. Money well-spent!

He brought the stories to life, I just wish I could remember everything he said!! Exceptional Tour Guide - Robert is an amazing tour guide, I wish he could have accompanied us everywhere while we were in Edinburgh. He was very knowledgeable, engaging, and enjoyable. Thank you for the haggis recommendations, we went with the traditional meal and it was pretty good.

My favorite tour - While in Scotland, we took three different tours and Robert's was by far the best. He made the history come alive, adding color and insight into the past. He was so well-informed, friendly, and interested, it was like walking through Edinburgh with a favorite companion.

Excellent Tour! - Robert is a wonderful tour guide. He was very accommodating and customized the tour based on our personal needs (my mother is elderly and walks slowly). He has a lot of knowledge on the history of Edinburgh and is an excellent story teller. I would highly recommend this tour!

Excellent attention to detail and helpful access - I am a wheelchair user and my travel agent booked this tour because she knew I was a history buff. My experience with Robert I think started almost immediately. He started communicating with me via Viator and asking what I needed in terms of access and what interested me so that he could tailor the tour to my needs. We met at the hotel and he had a rough route planned out. He tweaked this slightly according to our needs. The end result was an informative and fun tour which we very much enjoyed. I don’t feel as if I missed out on anything and was very happy with our tour. I was also very happy with his recommendation for a nice affordable place to have some haggis.
