During the excavation of My Son, inscriptions were discovered indicating that the site has been utilized for rituals and the adoration of the Hindu deity since the 4th century. In 1999, it was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The My Son Sanctuary represents an extraordinary collection of architectural works that evolved over ten centuries, offering a glimpse into the religious and governmental dynamics during a significant era in the history of South-East Asia.\nInitially constructed from wood, the My Son temples were entirely consumed by fire in the 6th century and were reconstructed in the 7th century by Sambhuvarman, who used local bricks for the restoration. Continuing until the 13th century, over 70 temples of similar design were erected, cementing My Son’s status as a center of Hindu worship in the Champa Kingdom.

Quick trip to cover My Son Sanctuary - The weather was scorching hot on the day, but the transfers were comfortable in an air conditioned van. The guide was english speaking and very resourceful. She gave a lot of information on the way and also at the site.
The historical site itself was very beautiful, with a theatrical show to top it off. We were picked and dropped off from/to our hotel in DaNang on time.

Great tour that was worth the trip - Pick up was prompt and before time. Tour guide introduced himself and made us feel welcomed and showed a great love for his job, country and the religious back ground for the site we would be visiting.
The guide had a great knowledge and understanding of the site and answer all questions about the area.

Amazing tour with an amazing guide! - We had an half day tour at My Son.
Pick up service at our hotel was excellent.
Our amazing tour guide Viet gave us a fantastic tour and gave us intresting facts, not only about the Cham people and culture/history/religions, but also about Vietnam.
Last but not least we also got the opportunity to watch the Cham-show as a perfect ending of the tour.
We had an amazing time on this tour and we would gladly recomend this!!

A fabulous morning! - We were amazed by My Son. The guide added to much to our understanding of it. He was excellent! And after the tour, we asked for a restaurant recommendation and they dropped us off at the most amazing place!

Great! - This was a very interesting tour and worth seeing. It’s unique. I’ve never heard of the Champa Empire and was very interested to learn more about it. Our tour guide was a very interesting person. One piece of constructive advice would be to talk more about the temples, point out unique things, and explain them.

Nice short trip to see the best of My Son - The guide was nice and helpful. The trip is quite short, you see only My Son (museum, only the main site and a dance show). If you want to see more consider your own transport, then you have more time and you can see all the sites (they are quite similar, though). When you are there there is a short drive with an electric car and then short walk to the main site - this is very doable with small children. Drive from Danang is about 1h.

Travel good, more detail in the tour would be better - Travel was good, but the tour itself could have gone into a lot more detail about the sanctuary given that there are audio prompts throughout.
