Around 7:45am, get picked up from your hotel in center of Ho Chi Minh City and head to Cu Chi Tunnels. After 1.5 hours ride, we arrive at the tunnels where you will get a chance to learn about the fascinating history and significance of the tunnels during the Vietnam War. You will have the opportunity to crawl distances through the tunnels, and witness the intricate network of underground tunnels and traps that played a significant role in the war. You can also try your hand at shooting some of the old rifles used during the war.
After exploring the tunnels, we’ll head to a local restaurant for lunch to try some of the delicious local Vietnamese cuisine (vegan food available)
- My Tho - After lunch, we’ll head to My Tho - the heart of the Mekong Delta region. You’ll get a glimpse into the daily life of the locals as we take a boat ride down the Mekong River, where you can enjoy the picturesque scenery of the surrounding countryside.
We will then take a sampan ride through the small waterways with coconut palms lining both sides, where you can experience the rural lifestyle. Stop by at the bee house to watch locals perform traditional music while savoring fresh tropical fruits and honey tea.
We’ll wrap up our day tour and head back to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon, where we’ll drop you off at your hotel around 6:50pm.

Nice comfortable limousine - Phufoole was our guide. Pick up was on time and foo was very efficient when bringing us around. He made sure we were away from the crowd as much as possible.
Limousine was clean and comfortable.

Excellent - Alex (our tour guide) made our Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta VIP tour awesome. We were in a group from different countries and it was a well day spent together. Alex was very knowledgeable and explained us well. Everything was good. Long day ended with some beautiful memories and new friends.

VIP Limousine Tour of Cu Ci Tunnels and Mekang Delta with Vietnam Adventure Tours - I went on the VIP Limousine tour of Cu Ci Tunnels and the Mekang Delta with Vietnam Adventure Tours. Our tour guide was a young man who was very energetic and extremely well spoken and whose name is Thuan. He ensured that every second of our trip was memorable and shall stay etched in our memories forever. My mom had a slight injury on her leg, and he helped her whenever she needed it. He was very knowledgeable about every spot and was patient to answer every question. I have no words to thank Thuan for making it such a special day for all of us, and we hope to meet him again! Don't miss this tour.

Well worth doing - 5 out of 5
We only had a few days in Saigon and this was a must. Ele our tour guide was just incredible. Knowledgeable. Funny and full of energy. Loads of advice, and plenty of answers to our questions

Great engaging guide.... - Great engaging guide. Knowledgeable and busy day with refreshments and lunch. Only improvement would be second half of tour. River tour in afternoon felt rushed and lots of selling at each stop.

Take 1/2 day to Cu Chi/Don't eat the lunch - Our guide, Alice, was great. She was knowledgeable, friendly, great sense of humor, and provided great background about her country and people. There were no issues with logistics of getting picked up at our hotel, etc.
That said, the Cu Chi tunnels are, understandably, packed with tourists so it can difficult to get around people to take in the experience. But this half of the day was the best.
The 2nd part - the Mekong Delta - was basically a tour of "here are some products we make here and wouldn't you love to buy some of them". There was zero sense of the Mekong, didn't go to floating markets, etc. There was a nice canal paddle at the end in a small boat to get us to our larger boat to take us back to the city. We basically didn't feel this part of the day was a good use of time.
One thing I will mention about the lunch that was included in the tour: it's at a large facility at Cu Chi and they feed a set lunch to a lot of tour groups. About 24 hours following the tour, we were violently ill and lost our entire last day in Saigon due to this illness. While we can't be 100% sure it was the food we ate at this facility, it was the only meal that we had in common before getting sick.

Mekong Delta half was disappointing, but Cu Chi Tunnels well worth the trip - The Cu Chi tunnels was a great experience and our tour guide started strong, providing lots of facts, answering questions from the group and very chatty to all of us. It's amazing visiting the Cu Chi tunnels learning how the Vietnamese used them along with traps to fight in the war. Tony's English was excellent and the vehicle that picked us up was very comfortable with air con and cold bottled water.
Following the visit to Cu Chi tunnels, we then took the 2 hour drive to the Mekong Delta which was the disappointing part of the trip. Upon arriving to the Mekong Delta, it almost felt as though Tony's energy had just disappeared, hardly talking or giving much information about the Mekong Delta to us. We visited a local village where we tried fresh honey which was delicious followed by the chance to hold a HUGE python that they had taken out of a cage that was much too small for it.
We were then taken to listen to local songs being sung and served fruit before being guilt tripped into tipping for the songs and fruit.
The paddle boat down the small canal was just a 5 minute trip whereby upon finishing one of the rowers tapped me on the shoulder and said "Bye! You tip now!" - needless to say I did not leave a tip.
In summary, the morning at Cu Chi Tunnels was brilliant, but the afternoon was spent going to tourist traps, being asked to buy produce or expectations of tips. I would save the extra money and book the Cu Chi tunnels only, the Mekong Delta half was not worth the extra.

Not recommended - Pickup time as indicated was 7:30 am. I was waiting in the pickup location 15 minutes in advance.
Nobody showed up so I started texting the person in charge with no answer. Finally after 45 minutes the driver text informing us that he is 5 minutes away, but by that time I left as waited for so long.
When I requested a refund the agency replied that they will not refund despite the fact that it’s their fault not mine.
Terrible customer service.
