Vinicunca or Rainbow Mountain, became one of Cusco’s most popular day tours, where you get to appreciate; yellow, red, ochre, white and turquoise mineral stripes in the mountain lend it wow appeal. From the Cusipata
Pampachiri approach, the 7km round-trip is gentle in grade, reaching a hillside viewpoint facing the mountain. From the top, you have 360-degree views include nearby Ausangate (6384m), the highest mountain in southern Peru. Since the high altitude (reaching above 5000m) takes its toll, try to ascend slowly to conquer the summit of Rainbow hills of Peru.
Rainbow Mountain Peru, however, has breathtaking views easily allow you to forget about the 2 hour struggle you leave behind. The Ausangate glacier on one side and bizarre, colourful peaks on the other.

Just wow - Our service was well planned by Lares trip! Breakfast and lunch were delicious. The tour guide was very attentive to the entire group, he came to us with first aid and the oxygen tank.

Magnificent and cozy - Enchanting trip to the natural wonder of Peru!
The experience that leaves you highlighted at 5000 thousand meters above sea level. You need oxygen and surviving the altitude makes for an unforgettable adventure.
The entire tour was well organized from the departure of the hotel to the pick-up or where they dropped you off at the hotel as well and our guide was very welcoming. Thanks for everything!

The Rainbow Mountain hike - a must-see - The Rainbow Mountain trek was the most beautiful valley we’ve ever seen in oye life. Our tour guide came to pick us up at the hotel on time and ran everything perfectly. Despite bouts of rainy weather, he timed things so we summited with the sun.
The altitude is a real factor here so to help you, the guide gave everyone a nice Jasmin spray to open up our nasal passage and some extra coca pick me up. We had all the usual symptoms of altitude sickness - headache, pressure in the eyes, feeling weak and despite all that I made it because the tour guide was patient and encouraging. I’d say you need 2-3 days of acclimatization before you even think of attempting this - it’s over 16,500ft and roughly 7km or 3 miles return. Even with a tiny elevation gain of 338m/1200ft, you’ll feel it. If you can’t get physically do it, you can rent a horse to take you as well. Along the way are many benches and stops, a bathroom (2 soles), and snack vendors.
This is an absolute must-see area if you’re in Peru. Highly recommend this local company and our tour guide,George.

An Amazing Rainbow Mountain Tour - My friend and l booked the Rainbow Mountain tour.
We had a good experience because the communication was clear about our excursion. We were picked up in our hotel in Cusco also tje drop off was close to the hotel.
The tour provided us a nice breakfast and lunch, the group was with 10 participants, the van was very clean and the tour was very informative about the history and culture.
We want to thank all the team of our expedition because thanks to them, the group has successfully conquered the colorful peak of Peru!

Excellent Service and good food! - We start the tour very early with pickup from our hotel in the city center of Cusco.
We traveled for two hours to the place where we stopped for breakfast. Then, we continued with the trip to the beginning of the Colored Mountain hike, which was 7 kilometers round trip.
We had a very sunny day with no rain, it only became cloudy at the end of the day. Our guide very kindly protected us throughout the hike and had all the first aid equipment.
The food was very good, in general the service was well organized from start to finish.

Great trek to Lares Hot Springs - The trekking to natural hot springs was a lifetime experience!
