La Paz Department - The service starts at 7:00 p.m., with the pick up of customers from the Hotel in La Paz in private mobility, to move to the bus terminal and take the tourist bus that will take us to Uyuni for 8 hours.

Uyuni - Arrival to Uyuni next day at 7:00 am
Upon arrival, you will be waiting for a private mobility to take us to a cafe to enjoy a delicious breakfast, and also an option to take a hot shower. -
Train Cemetery - Visit with photo stops.

Colchani - Visit with photo stops.
We start at about 10:00am, in our 4wd car and a professional guide, and visit the train cemetery before heading to the Great Salt Lake. Meet on the way the people of Colchani, where we will see an artisan salt processing plant. -
Salar de Uyuni - Visit with photo stops.

Isla Incahuasi - Visit with photo stops.
Visit then the Sal Flats, to know about waterholes and to observe how the salt is being extracted.
Then proceed to Incahuasi Island (known as Fish Island) where you can observe the famous giant cactus, and you can enjoy a delicious lunch. Lunch will be served in the middle of the Great Salt Lake, at the convenient time.
Then we go to Coquesa and visit the cave of the mummies, which is located on the slopes of the Tunupa volcano, where you can see a beautiful landscape and enjoy the beauty of the Great Uyuni Salt Flats.
- Uyuni - Later, before returning to Uyuni, observe the sunset accompanied by a special toast at the largest salt lake of the world!
Arrival in Uyuni is approximately 7:00pm.
At the end of the tour of the Salar de Uyuni, after a short break, our private mobility will transport you to the bus terminal to take our bus back to La Paz.

The Tour is organized from the pick-up and drop-off from the Hotels of La Paz, Bolivia.
We enjoy an overnight trip from La Paz to Uyuni, upon arrival after a delicious breakfast, we visit the great Salar de Uyuni, Isla Incahuasi, and the tour ends with a spectacular sunset on the salar of Uyuni enjoying reflection in the water .
At the end of the Tour we return to La Paz in our touristic bus to travel another 8 hours.
- INSURANCE:
- It is the responsibility of the tourists themselves to contract travel or accident insurance, as well as carry the necessary documentation at the time of travel.
- For the rainy season (December to March) the itinerary can be modified with no entry to the Incahuasi Island, taking another route as an alternative but visiting the Salar de Uyuni.

We had an amazing time... - We had an amazing time with Joker Expeditions. Oscar was so informative and was very patient while taking great photos for us. The lunch prepared by our driver Coco was delicious and Oscar and Coco found the perfect spot for a glass of wine to watch the sunset. 10/10 experience, would highly recommend!

An awesome day at the Salt Flats. - Joker Expedition was an incredible tour company if you decide to go to the Uyuni Salt Flats. The entire trip was seamless. The pick up from our hotel was on time. The Bus ride to Uyuni was fairly comfortable. The staff from the company waited for us at the bus station and took us to a hotel where we had breakfast and a quick nap. Eusebio was our guide and Cristial was our driver. They were both awesome. They were friendly and professional. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. Thay were patient with us, provided us details information and took us to various site. The lunch in the middle of the Salt Flats was amazing. Eusebio took good care of us and Cristial was a very good driver. It totally worth it to pay a little extra for a private tour. We saw many people have to wait at the bus terminal for several hours before being pick up by their tour guide. I believe that is the last thing you want to do after an eight hours overnight bus ride. I highly recommend Joker Expedition if you decide to check out Bolivia.

Brilliant tour - An excellent trip, very well organised with professional guides etc. The overnight bus transfers were very comfortable. The day in Uyunyi was full with plenty to see and do. The picnic lunch on the salt flats, with no other vehicles in sight, was magic and tasty. Janeth, our guide, spoke excellent English, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Our driver, Christian was great, setting out the lunch and evening aperitif efficiently. Overall a great day. Highly recommended and very good value.

Excellent day in the flats - After searching all the options to visit Uyuni salt flats, chose Joker Expeditions and had a wonderful experience with them. I did an overnight bus to/from La Paz and the logistics were handled perfectly. Timely pickup from the hotel, bus transfers etc. Spent a beautiful day touring the flats and Mauricio (the guide) and Coco (the driver) ensured I was taken care of in every way. Highly recommend this company.
Some tips/info:
- If you travel solo and they don’t have enough travelers, you’ll have to pay for 2. (worth it). Get 2 bus tickets each way so you don’t have to have a neighbor
-When you arrive, you’ll get a room at their hotel which was surprisingly nice. Shower, charge etc bc after the tour, you won’t have time to do it
-The cacti island is quite difficult to climb if the altitude is an issue- also not very accessible so take that into consideration if you have mobility issues
-The overnight bus is about as good as you can expect. It has usb chargers and the seats almost fully recline. But the footrest doesn’t get horizontal so it is a bit odd to have your legs from knee down hanging off (Titicaca was the company). It does have a “bathroom” but it’s for #1 only and wasn’t the best- I intentionally didn’t drink a lot of water on way back to avoid using it.
-Dinner isn’t included but you can buy dinner at the hotel office while you wait for your transfer to the bus. Decent meal runs about 65b
Overall, a great option if you have limited time and don’t want to deal with the logistics yourself.

Highly Recommended - We had a wonderful time with our 1 Day Tour to Uyuni Salt Flat!
We were picked up at our hotel in La Paz just before 8PM to drop us off at the La Paz Bus Terminal. He (Joni) assisted us from making sure we have our tickets and where we should by certain time for the bus ride.
At exactly 9PM our bus left for UYUNI. It was a very comfortable 9 hour ride.
We arrived in Uyuni just before 7am, and there’s already someone waiting for us. He (Christian) dropped us off at the hotel where we had breakfast and advised us that we will be picked up at 10:30AM for our tour!
The Hotel concierge are very accommodating and very nice!
At exactly 10:30AM, our English Speaking guide had arrived (Janet). Janet is very knowledgeable about certain/specific things about Uyuni, we really appreciate her guiding us the whole tour. She was very patient with us, especially we love taking photos!
In this tour, lunch was included and we were surprised by how Christian and Janet set up the whole experience. Food was great too! 👍🏼♥️
In between, they drove us to Isla Incahuasi (Cacti Island 😊)
At the end of the day - they drove us to the area where the sky reflects on the water, which is what the Salar de Uyuni is known for - largest mirror in the world! We did have a lot of time to just enjoy and take in the moment….
Here, they once again set up another snacks/tea/wine for a toast 🥂 with the Sunset in the background!
Janet is also very creative with her Shots!
We will never forget this experience, and I definitely recommend this tour to anyone! We had a great time and there’s definitely no flaws TBH :)
At the end of the tour, they brought us back to the hotel where we had a chance to freshen up before our ride back to La Paz! Everything was in time and I couldn’t have asked for a better Tour!

Unforgettable experience - We had the most amazing tour with Joker Expeditions. From start to finish everything was flawless. The night bus from La Paz was well organised and we were greeted by our driver Andy once we arrived in Uyuni. The breakfast and hot showers at Hotel Atipax were a bonus and much appreciated after a night bus. The day was jam packed with activities as well as a delicious lunch enjoyed on the salt flats. Our guide Janet and driver Andy were fantastic from start to finish. We would highly recommend booking this tour with Joker expeditions - professional service, unforgettable experience.

Natural Mirror Experience at Uyuni Salt Flats - On Jan. 17, 2024 we spent an amazing, unforgettable day at the Uyuni Salt Flats. It had a mirror surface because of a recent rain. While we were having wine and appetizer at sunset, our tour guide, Jeaneth, and our assigned driver took a creative short video which gave the illusion of us sliding on the surface. It is a treasure to share with our friends and family. Jeaneth speaks very good English and enthusiastically answered every question we had. She is very patient and attentive to folks like us. She is a good representative of her country. The experience we had at Uyuni Salt Flats was worth the 2 overnight bus rides from La Paz.

Definitely Worth your Time. - If you have limited time in Bolivia this is a great way to see the Salt Flats. It's a long, overnight bus. But the seats are very comfortable. The hotel pickup in La Paz was smooth. The greet in Uyuni could have been better. It took a little bit to find our driver. But we got to the hotel in Uyuni and had a few hours to stretch before starting our tour. The breakfast at the hotel is very basic. A few more items would be nice. Our guide and driver were both friendly and informative. The amount of things that you have a chance to see while at the salt flats is amazing. The lunch and afternoon snack were a unique experience. Having a picnic on the lake in both the dry and wet areas. Uyuni is definitely worth the travel time to get there. Side note, if you have big suitcases you can bring them on the bus and store them at the hotel/office in Uyuni.
