This is a food tour with a difference in world famous Beyoğlu (Pera) neighbourhood makes sure that you will enjoy all the ranges and aspects of Turkish Cuisine leaving nothing out. From drinking Raki and tasting varieties of mezes, cheese and seasonal fruits in a Meyhane (Local Tavern) to delicious Baklava in a traditional Confectionary Shop. In this four-hour gastronomy tour, you will stroll through some of the backstreets, bustling food markets and passages off Istiklal Street stopping off at Cafes, Eateries, Kebab restaurants and street food stalls to sample a cross-section of delicious foods to include meats, stuffed mussels and chocolate. A fascinating insight in a small group tour, providing thoughtful information on the history, cultural significance and relevance not only of the food but of the locations where it was served. Hidden gems - Our guide was very knowledgeable and showed us some great local spots we would have never found on our own! It was wonderful to learn more of the history and to get a taste of lesser known Turkish bites while venturing off the beaten path.

Fantastic Food Tour - This was a wonderful evening of tasting Turkish food with Tolga! We couldn't have asked for a better guide. He introduced us to delicious Turkish food and drinks as well as showing us areas of the city we likely would never have seen. He also told us the historical background of the areas we visited. The food was absolutely wonderful. I lost track of how many different places we went to and the food we ate. Do not eat before you go! You will have more than enough food to fill you up twice. We highly recommend this tour. It's a great introduction to the food of Turkey and also a great way to see some of the city. If you are on the fence about doing this, just book! You won't regret it. Thank you Tolga!

A great introduction to istanbul - Excellent tour - food was delicious, guide was very knowledgable and clearly loved meeting new people and showing them her city. Disappointed we didn’t do it when we first got to Istanbul. Would highly recommend.

Great way to experience... - Great way to experience the city. An amazing concept really. We did this halfway into our Istanbul trip, but I'd recommend doing it at the beginning to get a proper intro before you explore on your own.
I'm so glad our guide actually studied history and archeology and could teach us so much about the city and its history.

Must do in Istanbul - An amazing tour with delicious food and a fun, kind guide! My husband and I had a long layover in Istanbul and really wanted to get the most out of our trip. We did a highlights tour in the morning and then this food tour at night and had a blast! This is absolutely a must and I would recommend anyone try this. Food was excellent and the guide was fun and easy going and the timing made this tour an easy add on to any day or something to do on its own. Definitely do this tour!

Food, fun and laughs - Our guide was Dimples which is very as she was always smiling.
Our group was 4 plus Dimples and we had such fun.
Tried loads of different delicacies and were stuffed at the end of it.
Dimples was a fantastic guide and explained everything and talked to us about life in Istanbul. A super evening!

Food tour of two continents with Erol - Erol provided us with an excellent food tour. He explained the culture behind the different items we tried. I really enjoyed the varieties of food. I appreciate that that even though there were only two of us they still did the tour. Erol also answered the many questions we had about the culture of Turkey. We tried foods we would not normally have tried. Highly recommend Erol and the food tour.
