Absolutely worth it! - We had an amazing day with Adele and our driver. It was very cool to see two different, less touristy parts of the wall - there were hardly any other people there. Adele speaks great English and is very knowledgeable. Lunch was delicious and they catered to our vegetarian request. Highly recommend this tour! Thank you!

Pay for this tour, it’s worth it! - Wonderful experience from start to finish. Had both sections of the wall almost to ourselves. Our guide, Adele, was excellent, telling us the history of the wall and guiding us on the hikes (take trainers or walking shoes - it’s mainly good underfoot but there’s a bit of scrambling and uneven ground on the non-renovated section). Food provided at a local restaurant was fantastic. Last, but not least, the driver was excellent and was there at the end of each hike with ice cold bottles of water! Worth every penny.

Awesome experience with a great guide! - Awesome private hiking tour between gubeikou and shinjanling. Leo is a great host and very flexible, we initially started the hike in the rain and he adjusted the course so that we would not walk 4 to 5 hours under the rain. However the weather drastically improved after 30 mins and he called the driver to change pickup point as originally planned. We had a terrific hike, mostly alone on the wall until the very end. It was simply incredible. We arranged the tour on our own after email communication, he picked us up on time with the driver at our hotel. To note that Leo has great english communication skills, being able to have interesting discussion was definitely a huge plus point as well.

Incredible day with a great tour guide! - This is definitely a 5 star experience!! Our guide, Leo, was personable, knowledgeable and helpful. The two areas of the Great Wall we visited were beautiful and very peaceful. Their description about being alone in the wall is true - we were the only people on the areas of the Great Wall we hiked for the vast majority of the tour. Be prepared for a lot of walking and hiking/stairs but every step was well worth it. The driver was professional, safe and friendly. Clean and comfortable car. I appreciated that they supplied water, antibacterial hand wipes and toilet paper. Leo made sure we stopped at good restrooms when needed (also highly appreciated!) and the lunch was a nice break in between the hikes with really good food, including beer if you chose!

Best Great Wall Hiking - I had a wonderful experience on this private tour of the Great Wall. Since my first visit to the Great Wall in 2010, I always wanted to hike more of the Great Wall. This tour did not disappoint in any way. The tour guide personalized the tour to my requests. Highly recommend

Adele was an amazing guide - We spent 3 days with Adele , first doing the walking tour of the forbidden city, and then 2 days hiking on the great wall . We had an amazing time , and Adele was very knowledgeable. Leo was very helpful via email before our trip, answering all my questions and accommodating all of our requests. Every picture is like a postcard - The best part of the Chinese wall… stunning view, less crowded and the great point to see sunset. Adele took care of us very well. We had local food for lunch. We discovered an other part of the Chinese wall in a different pov. Thank you

Gorgeous views, fun hiking, wonderful pictures, cool guide - Leo was a great communicator and fun tour guide. We felt safe and well-cared for with him. Our hike at Gubeikou was fantastic with hardly any other tourists and same story with Jinshanling at sunset - amazing experience that surpassed our expectations. Additionally, Leo is a fantastic photographer and took beautiful photos of us that he sent the following day. He even suggested a nice place for us to have dinner and dropped us off there which was very convenient.

what an experience! - We booked this trip without getting a chance to really read many reviews or research as our time was short. It was an amazing introduction to the Great Wall and Adele was a fantastic guide. There was practically no one on our Gubeiko hike and little to no one on the Jinshanling hike. We preferred Jinshanling as it was more of how we pictured the Great Wall to be.
