Gobustan tour - We went with Mahabat who was a very good tour guide. At all times he kept us aware of what's coming next. He told us about the places quite well. It was a well managed and recommended tour.

Fun private day tour from Baku - We really enjoyed our private tour and our guide, Hasan, who was friendly, interesting and knowledgeable. The car was clean and comfortable. As promised, all was included. No extra charge for a Lada ride out to the mud volcanoes. Other tour operators I contacted before our Caucasus trip charged extra for everything so prices quoted were not what you would pay. With Baku City Tours, the price given is what you pay, all included. The mud volcanoes, burning hillside of Fire Mountain, and Zoroastrian temple are unique and worth the visit. I've visited other fascinating geothermal destinations (Rotorua, Iceland, the Azores) and Azerbaijan ranks with those. As we found with all our stops during our 12 days in the Caucasus, lunch there is later than we Americans are used to, so bring a snack if you're like us.

Wonderful day, fantastic guide - Fantastic and fun day! Hasan is an amazing tour guide - knowledgeable and friendly. It was more like a new friend showing me around his country. Everywhere we went, Hasan explained the history, answered my many questions and took great photos. I also enjoyed talking with him between stops. All the sites were fascinating - I loved the Mud Volcano and the Fire Mountain. And off roading in a Soviet Lada is something everyone should experience.

Great tour - I like that this tour covers the highlights of the areas around Baku. Mahabat was our guide and he gave the information of the sites at the appropriate times though there are some that I was hoping he could elaborate more and sprinkle some fun facts but I also understand that we have time to keep to and also not everybody will be interested to listen. Overall he has done well with the group management and this is a tour that one shouldn’t miss.

5* for Mahabat & -1* for the minivan - Our guide, Mahabat and our driver were really good! Very well planned and overall a nice experience. The minivan was slightly cramped and uncomfortable, hence deducted 1*.
