Highlights
  • Journey to Aswan, Egypt - Delight in your Day Excursion to Kalabsha Temple and the Nubian Museum in Aswan. A representative from Travel to Egypt will collect you from your accommodation in Aswan for an enriching visit to the Temple of Kalabsha, which was relocated and reconstructed on an eminence adjacent to the High Dam site (Western Bank). Initially erected by Toutmosis II and Amenophis II at Kalabsha, situated 40 miles south of Aswan, the temple underwent refurbishments during the Roman era. Following that, explore Beit El-Wali Temple. The rock-hewn Temple of Beit el-Wali, commissioned by Pharaoh Ramesses II, is devoted to the gods Amun-Re, Re-Horakhti, Khnum, and Anuket. It stands as the precursor to a succession of temples established by Ramesses II in Nubia. The name ‘Beit el-Wali’ translates to ‘House of the Holy Man,’ hinting at its possible prior use by a Christian ascetic. Conclude your tour at the eagerly anticipated Nubian Museum, inaugurated in 1997. The museum exhibits a multitude of relics that would have otherwise been submerged by Lake Nasser’s waters. Its moniker is derived from the ancient Egyptian word ‘Nbu,’ signifying gold, alluding to the region’s renowned gold mines. Additionally, the museum presents a variety of full-scale dioramas depicting Nubian culture.

worthy to visit Kalabsha Temple - Kalabsha Temple is so beautiful. The tour guide was very responsible in taking us to see this attraction and arranging the time. The only drawback is that the Nubian Museum is not worth visiting.
