Aswan, Abu Simbel & Nubian Village - My husband and I spent 4 days travelling with Marwa through Aswan and Luxor. For 2 days we travelled to Abu Simbel, Philae temple, then onwards to Kom Ombo and Edfu (both halfway between Aswan and Luxor). The experience was incredible. Marwa helped us to organise flights, recommended hotel options to us within our budget (she never pushed us to book somewhere specific for commission), and organised for a private driver. For all the sites, trust her timing - she took us to visit the temples at the least busy time of day, which meant we were able to take amazing photos AND we could walk around and enjoy without pushing through crowds. We arrived at Abu Simbel as hordes of organised tour groups were leaving, and at one point we were one of maybe 15 people at the temple (see photos, it was so empty)!! Similarly with Kom Ombo and Edfu. If you’re willing to have a few early wake ups then you’ll have the temples to yourself. On one of the nights we took a private boat to the Nubian Village, then went for tea at a crocodile house. The experience was the perfect balance between education (I know so much more about the Egyptian pharaonic dynasties, ancient architecture, religion and belief systems), and site seeing for photos that will last a lifetime. I really appreciated how honestly and authentically she runs her business. She worked to our budget, and adapted to what we wanted from the experience. We never did anything we didn’t want to do, nor were we pushed to go shopping. One more thing - we were trying to be very careful with what we ate, and only ate at restaurants Marwa recommended, and didn’t get sick.

Awesome guide who is very knowledgable and carying - I loved Marwa in Aswan. She was very knowledgable regarding all the temples and tombs and provided a thorough explanation throughout our entire day. I highly recommend Marwa for anyone while they're in Egypt

Aswan needs more than a day - don't miss the Nubian Museum (personal favorite - includes predynastic rock art and more), the Abu Simbel of course, the obelisk and the Aswan Dam. The local Nubian culture is important to experience first hand - Egypt isn't only about its ancient sites. We also were able to stop and see more sights than if we had taken the cruise. We traveled in December 2019.

Wonderful Guide - Very accommodating, knowledgeable and adapting to us. Took us around Cairo, Aswan and made our way back up to Luxor. She’s a great guide!!
