Additional Information

-THE GRAND WILDEBEEST MIGRATION IN SERENGETI
Each year, in a cyclical fashion, the massive wildebeest migration initiates in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the southern region of Tanzania’s Serengeti. The migration then proceeds in a clockwise pattern through the Serengeti National Park, extending northwards to the Masai Mara reserve in Kenya. Our skilled driver will trace the migration path to ensure an unforgettable viewing experience.
-NGORONGORO CRATER
The Ngorongoro Crater, located within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Tanzania, is a popular African destination and the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world that is unbroken and unfilled. Animals in the Ngorongoro were trapped after descending into the crater and their inability to escape lead to a surge in population within the crater. Now, all the African big 5 - Rhinos, Elephants, Lions, Buffalos and Leopards - can be found in the Ngorongoro crater.

Amazing Safari guide, Great Safari company! - I did 6 days safari with Melu Slopes. From pickup until end of tour, everything was very well organized. We are very lucky to see big fives at one tour. Of course plenty of animals and big migration. Florian is very professional guide with good driving skill. He told lots information of wildlife and Maasai culture. We learned a lot during this trip. He always tried his best to discover wildlife and show us with patient. So happy to have a guide as him Also, the price is affordable, especially I am a solo backpacker. I really have had good time and enjoy the safari. Highly recommend!

Amazing 6-day Safari with Meru Slopes - cannot recommend highly enough! - My partner and I did a 6-day safari with Meru Slopes and it was an absolute delight. We were recommended the company by a friend who also had a fantastic 10-day experience with another guide. Our guide, Douglas, brought with him a wealth of experience, great humor and stories, answers to all questions and immense care for our safety, wellbeing and wishes throughout the trip. Meru Slopes as a company is very responsive and takes care of you right from the start. We were picked up from Kilimanjaro airport and had a night in their very cozy inn in central Arusha before the Safari started. The Safari itenary was perfect, and Meru Slopes’ guides know the parks extremely well, such that Douglas was able to get us to see all Big Five and more in the three parks we visited - Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro - even though we came during the low season (at the end of the rainy season in April). Meru Slopes is also highly flexible and adapts to the seasonal needs - we were scheduled for camping with tents but ended up staying in very nice and centrally located camping lodges for a few of the nights because of the rains. Throughout the safari, there is a cook who travels with you and cooks excellent food three times per day. Our cook, Rashidi, was an absolute star and provided varied and filling meals under any conditions. Meru Slopes’ vehicles have great amenities, power plugs in the front and back, a fridge, ample space, and even free WiFi in the car. The ability to join up with other people to form safari groups is another great component of what Meru Slopes offers - it allowed us to meet wonderful people for the trip and also makes the price extremely fair. I would go with Meru Slopes again anytime and cannot recommend them highly enough. Thanks for a wonderful trip!

Amazing camping safari - I had the best time during my safari. Our guide Douglas was funny, great driver and very knowlegeable about the wildlife and plants. we were only a group of two which was a blast. we had the car to ourselfs, which was great when taking pictures of the wildlife. and wow, we saw everything, even a lion kill. Gideon was our cook and I'm still amazed what you can cook with limited gear. every meal was great and I enjoyed them. I'm also very thankful that our lunches were prepared in hotpots and not given out in paperbags and cardbord boxes (less waste and warm food). I would highly recommend Meru Slopes, very good value for your money.

The best safari experience - I was very satisfied with everything, from the day I decided to enquiry about the possible trip, until the very last day of my safari. Mr Geofrey answered all my questions and arranged all the details months before my arrival. I had a free transfer from and to Kilimanjaro airport, 2 additional nights in Arusha before and after the safari in a nice place near the city center. The safari itself is once in a lifetime experience. Our driver/guide Sale made sure that we see all of the animals. Not only is he skilled driver and knowledgeable about the Tanzanian wildlife, their behaviour and hiding places, he managed to help other drivers on the road when they had some issues (jeep stuck in a mud, quick repair) so I felt very safe in the wilderness. And I shouldnt forget our cook Rashidi, who made sure to always have tasty and hot cooked food (3 meals every day, we even had soup for dinner every night). And the thing that really made me happy, before I left for my flight back to Dar es Salaam I noticed I have forgot something in the jeep, and mr Geofrey managed to very quickly retrieve the missing item just in time before my flight, for which I am extremely grateful. All in all, the safari experience with Meru Slopes is affordable, everyone is organized and skillful in their job and provide service, which let you have memories for the rest of your life.

very satisfied. - We had a great week with Mohamed and Buga. Mohamed did everything he could to find as many animals as possible in this time and gave us lots of information. Buga cooked delicious, fresh food every day and also provided us with food on the way. The two of them together made a great team. We had a great holiday.

Highly recommend! - We had an awesome experience with meru slope! Our guide, Mohammed, was really nice. At almost every spot we stopped at he told us facts about the animals, plants and landscape, which made the sights even more interesting. We could really benefit from his experience as a guide. He made sure everyone had a great time. We even found the big five (Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, Leopard and even a Rhino) and many other animals, which was awesome. Our chef Buga, treated us with delicious foods three times a day. Even vegetarian options were no problem at all. If we ever come back to Tansania we will book Maru Slope Safari again!

unforgettable experience - I do have a great memory here, the people, the animals, the landscape. This is my first time in Africa, therefore I do have a lot of questions and doubts about here. Almachius, as my contact person, is very friendly, helpful, and responsive. He explains everything before the safari, even sometimes, I think I have silly questions. Fidelis is our driver to pick me up from Moshi to Arusha. We do have a great time on the way. He is talkative, honest, and caring. According to my request, he brings me to Maasai Market for shopping on the way, and I do feel safe and comfortable with him. Andrew, our safari driver, is very experienced and knows a lot, about the habits of animals, where we can find them, the sign/signals to find them, the plants, the trees, etc. He has very good eyes and can find lions in the grass. The only regret is that we cannot find leopards, but it is understandable. We are not expected to see all the big five. Four of them are already lucky. Our chef (sorry I forget his name) makes nice food for us. Every day we have meat, vegetables, and fruits. Banana cooking is traditional and interesting, and I'm glad we can try such traditional dishes. The fried rice and rice porridge are like Chinese food. This is an unforgettable experience in my life, and I'm very glad that I met such amazing people here and saw such amazing national parks. To be honest, if I have spare time and money, I will come back again.

6 days safari with family - We have been across New Year’s Eve in a 6 days tour with a 11 yo kid, sleeping in Serengeti and Ngoro Ngoro in tends and the rest of safari in lodges. The organization of safari has been as offered and at good level both in terms of sleeping and food. Our driver Douglas has been careful and safe and also our cook Rashed has been with full attention also to the needs of a kid. A very good spend for money.
