Great customer service - We had just finished doing a medical mission in Guatamala and Antigua was our “down day”. We had a group of 12 people, some did the walking tour and others, the Pacaya volcano hike. Great Experience - We were very excite about this tour from all that we had read; however with all the ash from recent volcano blooms Elizabeth Bell’s voice was gone. She set us up with Monique who was beyond all expectations. We felt lucky to have her guide our tour. She not only guides in Antiqua but also in Guatemala City. Her parents are guides. Holy Week in Guatemala - an amazing experience - This was the third time I booked tours with Antigua Tours and Elizabeth Bell. As a matter of fact I booked my entire trip for 4 of my friends and myself with her group for one week. Everything went very smoothly. Her guides are first rate , the hotels were well located and quiet, the vans were new and clean, the drivers were professsional and safe. Every request was accommodated , they made dinner reservations, communicated clearly to us about meeting times and departure venues. All the guides are well versed in the history and culture of their beautiful country. They all went above and beyond for us and this trip exceeded our expectations . It went so smoothly. A little underwhelming - This tour was OK. The guide was good and knowledgeable to the extend that he knew about where he took us. I did not expect to spend 30% of the time side of places of business (jade museum/ hotel Santo Domingo). I thought we would cover much more ground and see many more things. To that, read tour descriptions carefully and ask for a detailed list of where you will go and how you will spend your time.
